Recovered ED, but it made me gain ALOT, What to DO?
Ok, I am a recovered ED, I was diagnosed with Exercise bulimia, which means I was working out more then I was eating and I lost a lot. I am 5'8" and I was down to 93 lbs. I know, not good. So I got help, I recovered and it has been 2 years and I am now 145 lbs. and I feel so very bad, I want to get to 130-125 at the least. But for some reason, I can not seem to lose any weight at all, I still dont really eat carbs, I dont eat sugar, I eat not a lot and I think that is just because that is how it is now. I have though eaten normal. Example: I do but not on a regular basis: crackers, nuts, cookies, or cake on special occasions. You understand normal indulgiences on occasion but normally I eat egg whites(3) in the morning with salsa verde and black coffee, mid morning snack:either fruit or a south beach bar, lunch, either veggies and egg whites, or tuna and low fat cheese wedge, mid afternoon snack: sometimes, nuts or fruit, then dinner I have salad with tomatoes and either 1.5 oz of chicken breast or 6 shrimp and fat free cheese. No dressing though and usually 2 glasses of red wine. I also run 4.5 - 5miles every morning and then I use to do Pilates everyday but now I just do some form of exercise 3-4 days a week. I need help I can not lose weight at all. I lost a few then went right back up. I need HELP... Sorry this was so LONG. Please HELP!!!
Are you eating enough on the days you exercise?
Also.. it dosn't look like your eating enough fats. Try adding some nuts in your diet or peanut butter. You need carbs, too. It should make up 45-65% of your diet.
I was just like you. I didn't lose much when I had ED but it suffer me so much. I don't know what to say because now I'm fighting against binge eating disorder....I need to stop eating this large amount of food....such as 1 WHOLE box (9 serving) of Wheat Thins AND 1 WHOLE bag of Goldfish....with no exercise today. *sigh*......
I'm looking for a way to cut back to my a bit lower weight....just want to lose 4 pounds and lose inch. I think you may have to uptake the calories and only do either running or pilates.
Perhaps you are still in or still experiencing the effects of "starvation mode".
