recovery from slight over training
ugh! so i feel slightly overtrained so i probably wont go to the gym. ive made sure to increase my protein more, took a nap when i got home, took the bus half way instead of walking home. can anyone else think of what to do to speed the recovery up? maybe i should take fish oils again?
Are you taking glutamine, or is it included in any protein mix you're using? I've found it helps recovery quite a bit. A day or two off, combined with high protein and lots of veggies should charge you back up fairly well, but glutamine is a good one to incorporate into your supplements full time. Vitamin World carries it for a decent price. I just throw it into my protein shakes as it has no taste and I've noticed a huge reduction in overall soreness as well as improved recovery since starting to use it.

yes the protein powder has some glutamine, but good to know. i went and got a very relaxing leg massage, that seemed to help (at least where i was most sore). also yes sleep. i will try to go to bed early tonight. cheers
