Red face after running!
My face goes insanely red when I run. I swear people around me probably think I'm about to drop dead lol. sometimes I have to stop because my face is burning up. I dont' have blood pressure issues, but i am iron deficient. It's really irritating b/c it seems like I can't cool down for soooo long after a run! But I don't have the problem w/ any other workouts. odd.
I hate that I get redfaced when I run. I also have low BP, and I didn' think that could be a contributor to the red-facedness until now. I am going to try drinking more water before I run!
I go red as a beetroot when I exercise vigorously and my face gets really hot... but I don't have low-bloodpressure - if anything it's a bit on the high side. I blush easily and have fair skin, and I'm on the bulky side. It takes about an hour to go away after I finish exercising.
Heh. I go brick red when I work out, blush at the drop of a hat, and get flushed when I drink. I have low-end-of-normal blood pressure (never above 70/120), am German/British/Finnish/Scottish/French, and am as pale as - well, look at my profile pic! I'll get headaches and have the dizziness issue kimber mentioned if I get dehydrated.
Oh, it's good to be among people who understand. My fiancé just laughs at me when I go all red. And mocks my ability to get sunburned in the shade at a baseball game... and then buys me 80 SPF sunscreen and makes me wear it to a night game. ![]()
Hi all I get red face too. Really bad and I also have two veins on either side of my forhead by my temples that swell after excercise and you can see the blood pulse in them. It makes me cringe and I think I look like Frankenstein. Once my heart rate settles It goes away.
I am fair and bloodline from that part of the world also. I dont have blood pressure problems but have been told by my doctor not to worry about the red face. Also I was told to drink more water not just before and after the workout but all day. The dizzies when standing and hearing the blood pumping through the head and the headeaches were from dehydration. Also can be low iron. Ladies take your natural whole food vitamins and get your omega 3's. There is a new natural food that was just rediscovered that is packed with omega's among other things! No fish taste or any taste at all and no smell. It will rock your world ladies and gents!
Contact me if you want any info on it. Good luck everyone, Keep healthy and Dont Stop working out. Just think all that beautiful blood flow to our facial skin must be good for us. I bet we are all young looking for our ages too. HMM...
Yup same for me too. I also have low BP ..Exercise = red face for me (and i mean SCARLET) people always ask if I am ok/ am about to pass out. Sweat profusely during and after too.
I am very fair (typical English coloring) wonder if that has anything to do with the redness?
Lots of exertion makes my whole head pound and I usually feel dizzy by the end of my 60 minute workout. And my face feels kind of itchy / tingly in an unpleasant way.
And I also get dizzy standing suddenly... i really hope the extra water works then!
Red faces are healthy and sexy :)
Hi- glad to hear I'm not the only one! The bright red face after excercising has only been since I gave birth to my first child in 1995 and has stuck with me ever since. I also have chronic low blood pressure and a fair complexion.
Also, if I get too overheated, I am sweating so much that I am embarassed. Some people have commented that I look like I am about to have a stroke.
I also get headachy which can last all day. I have been drinking a B vitamin sports drink which has helped a lot. It is called Fizz Extra and I get it at Sam's Club. Mixes with water and stops the headaches within minutes. It is full of electolytes, etc.
Oh thank you thank you thank you! So glad I'm not the only one.
However, I found that alot of my redness complexion is due to what I eat... The worst being wheat and onions, to be avoided wherever possible! Theres like ten million other things I'm better off not eating, but wheres the fun in eating only fruit and veg?lol
I do take beta blockers, which have seriously helped, and helps with my anxiety too. Exercise and lots of water help considerably. I read somewhere that its your skin needing oxygen? I grew up in a smoking household (not me!) and just getting out and being able to breathe properly helps too.
But the best thing in my armory to feeling okay about it? A colorblind boyfriend! He can't see the everyday redness, so I feel more comfortable and accepting of my makeupless face. ![]()
