Red Robin?

Quote  |  Reply
Frequently my family goes out to this place called Red Robin (if anybody has it near them) on Fridays after my sparring class ends. I normally get a cup or bowl of clam chowder (they have a really good one) and the Oriental Chicken Salad with dressing on the side. But, a few questions about that:

-How bad do you think this is, in terms of healthiness? I like Clam Chowder, but not if it means I'm totally blowing this healthy lifestyle once a week.

-Any suggestions for anything that looks healthier on their menu? In case they don't have a restaurant (as it seems they're not overwhelmingly popular around the country), here's their website: http://www.redrobin.com/

EDIT: Unfortunately, no; I've looked in a number of places, and they don't have their nutritional information. : (

I don't go anywhere near Red Robin because I love it way too much. The crispy chicken sandwich and their neverending steak fries is evil and it's best to just avoid the restaurant altogether for me. I'm sorry I have no suggestions, other than maybe get a salad one week and the next week plan to just splurge and have your clam chowder, which totally will not kill you a few times a month.

they probably have their nutrtional info online.  i havent looked but i bet they do.
Their onion ring tower is a must-have for me.  Guacamole bacon burger too.  And of course the endless killer fries

you're a stronger person than I am to be able to go there ha ha.

Honestly tho, I don't see how 1 night a week will cause that much damage.  We're allowed to live after all !
I love Red Robin! I've only been like twice because we don't have any near me. I know last time I got the chicken caesar wrap and I was absolutely in heaven. I'd just use something comparable, like Applebee's maybe, to find a rough idea of the nutritional info.
I work at red robin, and a REALLY nutritional meal there is the Ensenada Chicken Platter with the balsamic vingerette as the dressing. its basically a plate with two grilled chicken breasts, and a side salad.

Another good choice is any of the salads with the dressing onthe side. It annoys me too that they don't have nutritional info for the menu, but I've asked the owner a couple times what some healthy choices were. Hope this helps!
