LOCKED TOPIC

Relapse, I know this question had been asked before

Hello!
I have been on here before, but I haven't posted in a while. I thought I was doing good with being recovered from my ED, But without me know my ED has been crawling back into my life, brining me back to my lowest weight [or lower. . .]

So I have decided to jumping back on the weight gain train!
And i have a stronger hope to recover.

I have calculated how much I was eating before, and its was around 400 cals.
And today I ate about 800 cals. [I know it is no where near enough]

Now that you got some background.
I was wonder if I should keep upping my calories 200-300 per day or week?
Or should I just go all out and jump into eating 2500 asap?

I would say take no longer than a few days to get up to 2500. If it's taking too long, go to hospital or inpatient - don't waste time when you're weight is low and your health and life are in danger.

I think it's very unlikely your ED has come back without you knowing - you don't eat 400 calories per day and not realise there isn't a problem. Be honest with yourself about the role you have played in your own starvation. And again, if you can't do it alone, get real-time support.

im really pleased youve decided to start recovery again i hope this is the last time for you. firstly id encourage you to see your doctor i think you need to be monitored and he may be able to put you in touch with a theapist and dietican to help you on your journey. you reall are under eating and this is very dangerous. dont get me wrong i think you need 2500 minimal now , but i would advice you to up it every few days by 200 dont take any longer i say this as , your body is going to need time to adapt i think if your weight is very low if you jump in there head first you may be at risk of going into refeeding syndrome . also i thinkly slowly it will bw better for you to deal with mentally. for me ive tried jumping in there head first and the change was to scary i freaked and went bk, little steps are usually better. dont be alarmed if your weight gain is higher than you would of liked at the beginning this is normal it will slow down just your body trying to sort itself out water etc. id advice you to drink plenty of milk not only grt for the bones and teeth it also prevents your phosphates from dipping which causes refeeding syndrome. good luck we are all behind you and here to help and support you including me im helen by the way xxx

You need 2500 cals a day minimum.  Anything less and you're not actively recovering but merely playing at it.

You need to seek professional help for what you are doing is starving yourself. It is extremely serious and we are not equipped here to be giving you advice. Please talk to your doctor, nutritionist, counselor, a trusted adult, clergyperson, parent etc. I agree with gi-jane though eating anything less than 2500 is not active recovery. The choice is up to you, but if you want to choose life you need to eat more.
