Removal of suggested foods that I hate?
YUCK YUCK YUCK
Brussels Sprouts - Cooked, Boiled, Drained, Without SaltA
This is a suggestion on my account. It is something I will NEVER eat. ::laughs:: heck as an adult, when my mom cooked these for me, I did the ole kid thing and ran to throw them away when she wasnt looking.
how about a way to delete suggested foods that are not appreciated? Wouldnt that help the suggestion process to learn me better? ~ Lost Artist
.
p.s. being able to delete might also clear up some space for some useful suggestions. Like it is trying to suggest 2% milk and I already only drink skim. ~ L A

Geesh. I am not very impressed with the food suggester, still. I eat cheerios almost every morning. So the food suggester analysis comes back and says try cheerios? Thats just down right silly ~ Lost Artist
.
It keeps making the same suggestions for me- brussel sprouts and 2% milk.
It wants me to eat some version of "light white" bread. No no to white bread, have found a great organic whole grain bread that yes, is higher in calories per slice, but has real nutrients!
And it's got me with the brussel sprouts also - never never never will I eat them. Is it a conspiracy by the brussel sprout industry?
I'd really like to see this too...it gave me some really good suggestions which I actually did take and am happy for doing so! But now it just keep suggesting alternate versions of what I already eat, being able to delete them would help alot I think, then maybe we can get some more great suggestions that we will actually use?
I agree. Mine also suggests a different version of milk as well as yogurt burst cheerios when I prefer plain cheerios. If anything, it should suggest a cereal with similar nutrition facts. The last thing I want to add to my morning routine is a bunch of sugary cereals.
I'm not too happy with the "suggested foods" function, either. I'm a diabetic and drink only the low-carb version of SlimFast, and it wants me to drink Optima--way more sugars and definitely not good for me (and it's yucky, too.) I also have high cholesterol and am drinking skim milk, and it's suggesting 2% milk. Why? Skim is healthier, especially for me. What the heck is up with these way off-the-mark suggestions? My concern is that, at some point, these food "suggestions" are actually going to be no more than adverts for foods from sponsored companies (if they aren't already) that are offered to us as "alternatives" based on keywords from our own food logs for the day. If that turns out to be the case, it'll be a low-down, sneaky, money-grubbing trick and I'll be out of here.
I have to agree. The suggested foods function doesn't seem to hit the mark for me either. It also suggested brussel sprouts for me because I like green peppers. I wouldn't touch a brussel sprout and how it could think that a brussel sprout remotely tastes like a green pepper is beyond me. It also suggested low fat peanut butter instead of all natural regular peanut butter. Natural peanut butter is made from peanuts and salt. The fat is a good fat. Low fat peanut butter has sugar in it. Why would I want to eat sugar and reduce the good fat?
I love brussels sprouts but the food suggester has never suggested them... But I agree that tool is not very useful. Nearly all the food suggestions it makes are less healthy than the ones I already eat. Like I put half and half in my coffee, so it suggests heavy cream. There should be some kind of filter that won't let it suggest foods that have a lower grade than the ones you're eating.
at least yours didn't suggest you go eat a freakin big mac!
WTF... my "food suggestions" box just said "you like Cafe Lattes - grande with non fat milk, why don't you try a tall with whole milk?"... umm.. no thanks.
margareta87 you can have my brussel sprouts.
