resisted the urge
ok... have lost (nearly) 12 lbs by eating better but not denying indulgences on occasion. i was at the mall today and wanted something a drink and walked in a paradise bakery. ended up in front of the bakery counter and drooled over the cookie choices in front of me. i could even imagine how good the snicker doodle or the choc chip cookie was going to taste. then i started thinking about having to log it in and decided i really didn't want the the cookie and walked out without anything. told the girl behind the counter that was waiting on me that i decided that i was going to behave my self and that i was walking out. had a yogurt with strawberries about 40 minutes later. you know what...that yogurt was the best thing ever.
WTG!! Good for you. Sounds like you are on the right track.
Awesome and inspiring! Good job, and thanks for sharing.
Well done! Experts say that if you resisting an urge is like riding a wave… the urge starts small then gets bigger and you just have to wait it out until the wave passes!
It is so cool how after you wait, and have something healthier, you realize that the healthier thing tasted better any way!
Yay! Doesn't it feel so good to almost give in, then reclaim your power like that? I rode that same wave yesterday--and feel so good today that I didn't give in! Keep it up! You're doing great!
thanks everybody for the positive feedback.
