Restarting my weight loss...need help getting motivated

Quote  |  Reply

Hi everyone.  I was very sucessful with weight loss in the past but have recently moved across the country and just started a new job and don't have any friends to do this with in my new area.  I need some help getting motivated to start again.  None of my clothes are really fitting anymore and I feel completely and horribly big.  I am afraid to get on the scale and see how much I have actually gained.  I made today my last day of induglence and now I am going to try and be good and start logging my food.  Any words of encouragment would be really appricated.  And if anyone is living in Rhode Island and knows of a good place for walking (trails and stuff) near providence (I live in pawtucket) let me know.

Thanks,

nikki

You can do it! Making a verbal committment is a good start! I wish you luck!

Yes, you can do this, you have made the first steps.  Keeping my food journals each day have  been such a great tool for me.  Haven't been on this site very long, but it really makes me think about my food when I post each day.  Good luck to you, you can do this.

I dont know how reading others stories motivates you, but you may want to go to biggestloser.com and look at the gallery. Read some of their stories. I have been really motivated over the last 3 weeks and still going strong. I know that is not a real long time, but its more than my usual.
