restaurant you hate that everyone loves?

What is a restaurant you hate but everyone seems to love? For me, its the Olive Garden. Why? Because it tastes like "fake italian" food to me and i get sick everytime i eat it .... yet my FMIL is insistant on going there.. grr..

 

What are some of your dislikes that everyone seems to love?

I don't like Carrabba's....It is soooo GREASY! It is my MIL's favorite...and we went once.....I had a pizza and could not even eat it (and that was before cc!) My husbands was greasy and disgusting too. The commercials make it look so fresh and good too.....shame!

Olive Garden is over-rated...but I do like the soups.

Good thread! I don't like In and Out Burger...I think it's pretty nasty as a matter of fact, but some people will eat this crap every single day...blech

El Torito Mexican Restaurant.

I don't like all of their elaborate dishes that really are not Mexican at all.  Once we went there and my daughter got a burrito with spinach and white sauce on it.  Eww!  She actually got up and walked out.  

Also hate all places that slather cheese on every dish.

Pretty much every fast food restaurant, particularly McDonald's or Taco Bell. It's not food.

I also think Olive Garden sucks.

Oh yeah, Old Country Buffet is disgusting!!! My sister wanted to go there a couple months back and the food was practically inedible. Dry food, unappetizing flavors, crappy choices, etc. Stay far away (at least the ones in AZ are like this, unsure about other states)

I agree with cellophane_star - Taco Bell! It is just so gross! I've heard they use the lowest grade meats acceptable. And what's with the commercials? They make everything look so fresh and homemade. Ha! All food places are guilty of this, but I think TB is the worst at it. It's so deceiving.

One of my younger brothers LOVES Taco Bell and I used to take him through the drive thru all the time because I'm a sucker for my brothers and do anything for them. I would usually cave at the smell, but just get a cheese quesadilla. Ours burned down recently though! So we're TB-free for a while and that's cool with me. :)

totally agree rachel2009.  it is way overpriced chicken nuggets!  so totally overated.  same goes for the bojangles enterprise!

I also agree with jenny8484 on Olive Garden.

for me, personally, Burger King is a total waste of time - my kids "luv it" the "best".

I have not had Wendy's or BK in about 3 years. I might have McDonalds or KFC once or twice a year. Yuck. I realized I could make a better burger at home on my own :)

 

Once place I don't really like is Applebee's. Even on the commercials, NONE of the food looks remotely good. Maybe it's just me.

Pretty much any fast food or chain restaurant. I haven't eaten fast food in over 15 years and I definitely don't miss it. Then again, I live in San Francisco where our version of fast food is a burrito from the local tacqueria so it's easy to avoid chain food. I definitely agree about Olive Garden. Blech.

All fast food except Subway and Steak places, i hate steak and they never have anything good for a person who hates steak!

Curry houses for me

I hate applebees, their food always lookes dried out to me, the smoking section/bar is right in the middle, so while you're trying to eat you have to eat in a cloud of smoke and drunk people, our manager at ours is reallt rude to eveyone and the service is horrible

I think that Raising Cane's is a regional chain, but I HATE IT! It's just fried chicken people. Everyone here seems to be obsessed with it, but it's just mediocre, grease-laden chicken strips. Really, that's all they serve.

Diddo..I do not like Applebee's restaurant either. All my friends and family seem to love it.

KFC, Taco Bell and McDonald's are three that gross me out.  Fast food has always tasted bad to me with the exception of a few things I crave from time to time.  Restaurants used to at least attempt making edible food.  It doesn't seem like it anymore.

I am squeamish with all places. I HATE strangers touching my food!
