I started my diet and 236 and now weigh 192 (maybe a little less). When i started i didn't measure my self but i had an idea. Today i measured my self and i was not happy.
Arms 16in.
Tummy 47in
Hips 47
Thigh 29.5
It doesn't seem right where have i lost the 40+ lbs!?? I don't think i have even gone down a pant size yet :(

hey there! well dont be discouraged! 40+ pounds is fantastic! You are doing great - just keep it up its obviously working... you just gotta hold it out. you can't pick and choose where you lose the weight, but hey as long as you are losing it then good for you! everything should even out. and since you didnt measure from the beginning ( i didnt either which i totally regret) you dont really know if the numbers have gone down, but i bet you with the weight you lost that they have! just keep high spirits and keep on keepin on!

from what I know, fat around the middle (stomache area) is the first to be added on and the last to get taken off. So, just 'cause you haven't decreased pants sizes, it doesn't mean you haven't lost fat from your legs, arms, neck, etc. Just give it time! You'll get there. =)

You may hit a point when the weight loss stops for a little while. That's when you may notice that you are losing inches.

You say that "You had an idea" but maybe your idea was wrong? I started at 205 and did not measure. I started measuring somewhere around 180-185 and began with a 46 inch waist. I was shocked to see that. I have lost 10 inches off my waist since then. I started doing toning exercises three times a week after my first measure and lost about 1/2 inch a every week since then. I was in a size 14 (some were snug!) then.

I suspect you are not realizing your original size. If you are like me, when I started, I was stretching out the size of clothes, not wanting to go to the next higher size. Now, although I've lost weight...all I'm doing is really fitting into my clothes - won't be ready for the next smaller size for probably another 15 pounds or so.
But look at how much you've lost!! Wow! What a great start to a new way of life... try to do some bending/stretching and you'll firm up.

For excercise i go to the gym 4 days a week. I do 35-45 min of cardio, about 30 min of lifting, and then some crunches. Well i guess my clothes were getting tight before i started to lose the weight ( i didn't want to admit b/c i was going to be a size 20 then) now they are regular a bit baggy in the legs. I was just disapponted i guess. Didn't know i had let myslef go that far. Thank you everyone i truly love cc.
