Retaining water?
Do you think I could possibly be retaining water? So about a month, month and a half ago I started working out like lifting weights and jogging, and some what eating healthy for maybe like 2 weeks? Then I stopped for spring break then started serious on April 1st. I have went from 132, and then when I started on April 1st I was 126/127 [ I use a spring scale lol] So today I am 125.0 have been going back between 124/125. I been 125 though for a week, and 4 days. I want to be 123/124. I dont want to plateau. I mean I do know that just for 2 weeks - 3 pounds is good. :]
I just started doing pilates last sunday and have done them sunday, wednesday, thursday, saturday and sunday. i jogged/walked tuesday, wednesday, friday, saturday. and plan to jog/walk today. I am wondering if I might be retaining water from the pilates? I mean I have lost about 2 inches from my waist. and 1 inch around exactly where my belly button is which is nice too :]
I eat B: Shake S: Fruit L: Meal bar w/sandwich or half sandwich [ depends on which bread I have] S: Fruit D: I havent been eating the best dinners lately but I am starting again tonight with 1/4 protein 1/4 carbs 1/2 veggies and then a fruit or snack. My calories have looked like this 1203, 1232, 1617, 1265, 1517, 1989, 1335, 1554, 1241, 1485, 1668, 1220, 1705. So they fluctuate, I believe I am doing everything good! I just kind of want to make sure. I am 5'5.5 17, 124 and looking to be 113/115.
Well actually my main goal right now is 117. I mean I feel good :] its when pictures are taken, I dont like those, but I feel good about my body. 113 is like 18.5 my main goal is like to have like a 24/25 waist and like 34/35 hips which i am at 26/36. I just kind of am going like week by week like see how I feel at 122, 120 then 118. Then see how I look and feel and decide from there.
Sounds really small. I know I HATE how I look if I get smaller than a size 10 or 12. Some sites say 19 is the lowest healthy BMI and some say 18.5. But personally I would aim for the middle or high end of the healthy range. There have even been some reports recently that showed being slightly overweight might be healthier than being in the "ideal" range. I would not necessarily gain weight based on one set of reports, because we are told different things are healthy/not healthy every day. But the point is that having a little body reserve can help you be more resilient to disease and strong enough to deal with larger scale health problems that might come along. (Too bad it didn't recommend being 75 lb overweight) :)
Plus you are 17 and that is when a lot of us blossomed from stringy girls to curvy women. It might be that its just gonna happen. Most people (men too) will find you more attractive that way anyhow.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
