I like that idea. But so far, I have only managed to eat all three meals like a queen...

lol nomo.  I have enough trouble just eating breakfast.  Eating like a king the rest of the day is no problem...  ;-)
I saw something like that on a weightloss show on Discovery (?).  The lady made a huge dinner at 5 o'clock in the morning, then a normal (meaning healthy portion size) lunch, and then a very small breakfast at 6 pm.  She lost a lot of weight doing it.  I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it that way since she was probably getting all the nutrients she needs.  I guess as long as you stay above 1200 or so calories it's fine.  I like to eat oatmeal for dinner when my husband works a 24 hour shift.  I'll probably do it tonight.  It's easy to make, and I don't have a lot of time to eat a big meal since I'm the only one home to take care of the baby.  He's demanding of all my time, so I'm lucky he even lets me eat dinner!

Hah, I think that's what I do! Because I want to have a big enough breakfast so that I don't start snacking at work ;) Lunch is probably pretty king-ly too, though...but then dinner is more or less a pile of veggies with just a little chicken :)
I can't see how that is any different than eating the largest meal in the evening or at lunch for that matter.
Yeah, it couldn't work for me.

And my friend goes to a trainer and the trainer told him "calories are calories, regardless of when you eat them"..
The difference is in the idea that whatever you eat early in the day, since you're likely to be more active during the day, you're more likely to use up all those calories and not store any.

Whereas if you eat your biggest meal in the evening, followed by low activity levels (i.e. watching TV) and sleep, you're more likely to store some of those calories.

It's just a theory.  I bet it works for some people and probably doesn't matter for others.
we used to eat a very light dinner before my husband was switched to a day shift, because it upset his stomach to eat a large meal an hour before he went to bed. we still don't eat anything heavy, but I have to make sure I eat enough-I go to the gym fairly late in the evening.
I saw it last night- on a show called XXX-Treme weight loss...and I read an article about it in Woman's World- what was weird was that she was making actual dinner items at 5 am- like fish and things. And she said that she quit eating around 2 or 3 pm- or if she was hungry after that she just ate vegetables- when she goes out to "dinner" with her husband she just right away boxes it up and eats it at 5am.... kind of interesting but I'm not getting up at no 5 am to have dinner..... I rarely make dinner anyway- usually my family "fends " for themselves since I don't usually get home until around 8:30 pm or 9pm.  I feel bad sometimes but my hubby is usually pretty good about making himself and my 10 year old daughter something healthy. He goes to bed usually at 9pm since he is up and out the door by 4 am. He has a long commute and where I live in California- if you don't leave so early- then you sit in traffic for 2 or 3 hours!  On the weekends is when I cook...unless we order in:=)
I could see where it would work, if I ate a big meal at 7:00 am then went to work and worked all day I would burn that meal off..but if I ate a big meal after work and sat in my recliner with the TV remote I wouldn't burn too much of that off...may just have to give this one a try...
