I reached my first goal weight today... and my reward... an overly expensive beautiful, sexy yet also comfortable... black bra.  Yes this was my reward for reaching my goal, I have never bought myself nice underthings before...this was almost more rewarding then the wieght.  The next reward... I'm thinking shoes.... so let me hear it what do you plan to reward yourself with... how will you indulge your new trim beautiful bodies... you have worked hard so lets hear it.

I really think that this is a good exercise in motivation... so I am responding to my own post to keep it at the top of the thread.... okay... so lets hear what you are going to reward yourself with....

i do the same thing, almost!  i get a reward every 5 lbs lost :) nothing expensive, but maybe a pedi or a new pair of sandals, or shorts or jeans, etc.  i think it's a good exercise in using non-food rewards in our lives, for things other than weight loss, too.  when i get closer to my goal, i might go for a bigger reward.

Nice undies or a new pair of jeans for major accomplishments.  A trip to Bath & Body Works for meeting smaller goals.

A pedicure is a great one for me, and of course a new pair of pants that actually fit!  A bra is the next one for me though.  I love the idea of non-food rewards, because before I started loosing I was rewarding myself with food all the time.  Things I really need or want always are a better motivation for me.  Workout tools are good too.  A new ipod might be in my future!  I planned on downloading a new album every 10 lbs.  But my computer has been uncooperative !:(

I like the idea of an ipod. I have yet to get one, but it would be majorly nice on my runs...maybe when I hit my goal weight.

I have enough to lose that I'm going to reward every 20 lbs. Getting under 200# was my first small goal and that's been done, but when I hit 20# lost, I'll go buy some new jeans. The ones I have now are not that old, but they're already looking a little baggy!

I figure each 20# will probably require new jeans. But when I get to my goal weight, I'm going to buy shorts and a swimsuit, which are a couple of things I don't even own right now. ;-)

For me the reward was the loss of 86lbs, and the huge improvement in self-image.

I personally find that I can buy good looking and fitting clothes a bonus rather than the reward themselves.

The main treat is knowing that like tonight I can sit here with a large glass of good wine and not have to panic over the calories in it.

My main reward will not happen until next year, and what that is I'm keeping quiet about. Smile

Yep - I have a hot pink VS bra with "sexy" in little rhinestones on the side that is sitting on the shelf in my bathroom and just waiting for me to hit 145.   I usually try for something small every 5 pounds - a new lipstick, a pedicure, etc. and then something larger when I hit the 10 pound mark (usually a pair of pants since I need a new size by then) and I'm going to treat myself to a whole new wardrobe when I finally reach my goal!

my goal for the moment is 126, but my over all is 120. im not far from 126, but just cant seem to get there. for like the last few months. i lost about 12 lbs, then went on hols and gaind 8, but its comin back down now!! i think when i get my first goal, i deserve a nice reward coz ive been trying to get there for ages now. maybe a new outfit (including shoes) and a night out to wear it.

Love this post!

I only had 10 pounds to lose, and I'm halfway there.  For now, just looking better in my old clothes is a great reward.  I can wear all of those cute tight fitting tops and not worry as much about my stomach bulge showing.  I also fit into two pairs of dress pants that I had to stop wearing to work because they got uncomfortable.  They are even a little loose now!

When I reach my goal, I'm going to buy some cute dresses and maybe a new bikini to wear on our next vacation...Mexico in December!

I can't wait to see 129!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just started and I have a very long way to go- but it's all about the clothes for me.  I never get myslef anything nice because I think that I do not look good in it anyways.  So every 10 lbs I am getting a nice piece of clothing! (okay I've already clebrated the first 5 lbs but gettting started is so difficult I deserved a treat or 2)

I too have just started (again). I am giving myself a reward for each 5lbs. lost. The first being a haircut and color. The second 5lbs. a new bra (as mentioned above). My ultimate goal is to have a second child. I have PCOS, so getting pregnant in the first place can be difficult, but my chances of getting pregnant increase as I lose weight. I always envy those cute mommies "to be" in the exercise class and think, "that will be me one day!"

Once I get to my final goal I plan to get a new tattoo! Also probably some new club clothes and a night out to show off the results of all of my hard work.

Clothes are definitely the way to go! But since I'm going to have to buy new ones as I go anyway (hopefully--assuming my weight loss also results in significant size loss), I'm thinking I'll use shoes. Or a new DVD.

I know when I reach my goal (145) I'm going to get my belly-button pierced :)*

*Unless I chicken out.

I have so far lost between 32 and 33 pounds- already freaked my adult daughter by losing this much.  When I get down another 20 pounds, I am seriously thinking about either riding the bus to her part of the world or driving, depends on the road conditions and time of the year- have a mountain Pass to get over.  It is the pitiful truth that if I get down another 20 pounds, she will never in her entire life, seen me look like that.  So spending a day with her will be a reward for me.  Me at 166????  Sounds like jumping over the moon and touching the stars.  A longer term reward is to be slim enough to go on a mountain hike with one of my sisters- I want to be trim enough to enjoy every minute.  No more feeling like a dying elephant on the uphill parts.  I love the idea of buying a swimsuit.  I wear shorts and shirt when I exercise in a gym pool now.  A great and daring reward would be for me to buy AND wear a one piece swimsuit that does not have one of those skirts- they don't disguise large hips anyway.

Ok, this I have to do.

I am currently at 96,4 kg

Intermediate goal 1: 93 kg
Reward: A new t-shirt

Intermediate goal 2: 90 kg
Reward: New climbing harness

Intermediate goal 3; 87 kg
Reward: New backpack - Osprey Exposure 50 or Millet Peuterey 50

Final goal: 85 kg
Reward: New iceclimbing crampons

Same here!  It's going to be nice to not be embarrassed by taking my clothes off in front of the tattoo artist!

When beginning a new exercise program, I am always soooo sore, especially my quads.  Every pound I lose I try to put away $10-20 so that when I hit every 5 pounds of my goal I am able to reward myself with a MASSAGE AND FACIAL (my salon offers a 45 minute massage and 45 minute facial for $100). If you have never had a professional massage before, I would definitely suggest trying it even once.  If you are too self conscious, trust me the massage therapists have seen it ALL and know how people can be nervous for such an event.  You could also start with a facial first or just an upper body massage to try and get to know a specific therapist before you delve into a full massage.   But TRUST ME, it will be the most relaxing 60 minutes of your life, plus your body needs to feel rewarded for all the hard work it's put in!

I know, right?! I even have problems getting tattoos on my legs because my legs are so chunky right now!

I try not to reward by weight since it fluctuates so much but rather go by how many days/weeks I am "on the wagon."  I allow a certain amount of falling off the wagon and if I acheive the number of weeks I set out to, I'll then give myself my reward.

My next reward is going to be a BIG one:  I want a gravity dropper for my mountain bike (a device you put on your bike that adjusts the height of your seat by merely pressing a button/trigger on your handlebars!!!  You don't have to get off your bike to raise your seat for climbs or lower your seat for descents, soo cool.)   I consider it a luxary item though since I can always get off my bike to adjust and it costs around $200-300.  60 days on the wagon and I'm buying myself one!!!
