RFFL (Real Fast Fat Loss)

Quote  |  Reply

Hi ladies,

I remember some of you were talking about starting RFFL, so I think it makes sense to create a separate thread for this program.

Who's doing/has done it before? I know kilkusj mentioned starting it a few weeks ago. How is it going?

I have 2 workouts left in my current program, and I was going to try RFFL right after. It would be nice to get some comments about the program from those who tried it. Anyone?

3x15 = evil!!!!!

That's all I have to say...

Haven't reported here for a while, but it doesn't mean I wasn't working out. 5 workouts done,  (N*6+1) to go, where N is not determined yet.

I can't describe in words HOW MUCH I don't want to go to the gym today. Could someone pleeeease come up with an excuse for me? And quickly? Innocent

Today I'll be going through workout B @ 3x15. I KNOW it will be a torture. I can't do more than 5 consecutive squat jump to chin + knee tuck reps, how in the world am I supposed to do 15? The 4x10 workout was bad enough...

Yep, that was Maha wallowing in self pity :)

Now off to the gym.

I was definitely too late for encouragement, but I hope your workout went well! I could never do 15 chin ups in a row, so just do your best. I tried to work up to it the best I could. That was the one exercise I never hit the mark on.

I'm done with RFFL for now, and I'd say it was effective because I did it while my husband was in Egypt for two months and now he can't stop talking about how good I look :D I never did get that fitness assessment. I work out at a university gym and trainers to do the assessments are never around during the summer. I'm still going to try to do that and am now looking for another workout to get started on. I think it will be NROL, but we'll see. In the meantime I'm cobbling together my favorites from NROLFW.

Thanks for the support, kilkusj. Congrats on your results! Isn't it great when husbands notice and comment on our progress? That's another "assessment tool" for you ;) Good luck with the next program!

As for my workout, I was totally exhausted afterward. I managed to do 7 chin up combos in a row, then about 5 partial for my first set. As for the other 2 sets... let's just say they didn't go so well. ;)

It's funny that I was actually exhausted after the first exercise. I thought 40 lbs was a light enough weight for 3 sets of 15 front squat-push press combos. I guess I overestimated my strength (or endurance). I did finish it, but my heart rate was at 182, and I thought I'd fall down and won't be able to get up.

I am done with the first round, I am definitely going onto the second.

I guess I'm all by myself in here. Ah, well...

I finished the second round yesterday, that's 4 weeks of RFFL total. I LOVE workout B. I was shocked when I was able to do 4x10 of squat jumps to chin. I was even more shocked when I did 3x15 of them yesterday. I did have to stop between each rep and take an additional breath in the second half of the set, but I DID IT!

I'm going to do another round. I'm not progressing in workout A exercises at all, that's quite disappointing. I can't do 15 pushup + jackknife combos in a row, I always fall off the ball after 10th or so during 2nd and 3rd sets (I get back on and continue, but still...) How I manage to finish set 1 is a mystery to me.

I think that's an outstanding job! Those workouts do not look easy. I won't be starting it until I finish NROL4W.

Maha-kisa -- Woot! sounds like you're really having a lot of fun with this one!

I'm going to try this if I can ever make it through at least some of NROL.  I keep getting sidetracked or injured though.  Eek!

I've looke it over and some of those moves are just killer.  Big congrats on being able to do the squat jumps to chin!

karozel, I'm sure you'll like it, give it a try.

I've been insanely busy with work last few weeks, so I skipped quite a few workouts.  The only thing that keeps me in shape these days is my bike.

Today I'm supposed to do workout 6 of the 3nd round, and I think that will be it for now. I'd like to start something from NROL, but haven't decided on the program yet.  I miss back squats and deadlifts, so I think their presence will be a determining factor.
