Rheumatoid arthritis anyone?

Quote  |  Reply
I am 32 years old and have had arthritis since I was 12. Unusual but true. It gets worse and worse all the time. This makes it really hard for me to do alot of exercising cuz it is soooooooooooooooooo painful! My shoulders and knees are the worst! So makes cardio a little to painful and hard for me. Any suggestions of other things I can do to help with my weight loss without screaming in pain?

II think you need to pay extra attention to the food that you are eating. I am following the Forever Young Diet and Lifestyle, and it emphasizes your diet in regards to health and not just weight loss. It addresses foods that are high in things beneficial to arthrits sufferers. My doctor had recommended it for me to follow, due to many health problems. I have felt so much better while eating on this new lifestyle. If you would like to know more, let me know.
I want to know more!!! Anything to help would be fantastic. The more I do the more it hurts. I went to the zoo yesterday and now I feel like a crippled old lady from all the walking I did.

I too have had arthritis since I was a teenager.  This past January I started a new treatment called Remicade that has made me feel like a whole new person, and I'm finally able to start exercising.  Before that, I was prednisone, which caused me to gain a ton of weight.  Okay enough about me. =)  I recommend trying an elliptical machine because it's the easiest piece of equipment I have found on the joints.  Also, you might focus more on doing weights since there is less repetition, and muscle burns calories.  My other advice is to just break your exercise up into different segments during the day.
Thanks peacegood!

Try taking loads of alfafa pills.  Do that for a few months and see what happens....avoid sugars, cheeses, and white flour too.

You can also try juicing carrots and adding Barely green and eating LOTS of green foods like baby spinich salads.

6 years ago I went on an all natural diet ---including making my own salad dressings.....like mixing oil and vinigar and oil and brags liquid amino's ...easy stuff.   It took three months but the joint pain disapeared and my extra wieght fell off.

I even went as far back then to get rid of meat all together except fish...and I had that rarely...I had to add b-12 to my diet though.

Now I do a similar diet cause I'm unhealthy again after not doing the diet for the last five years.  I'm still eating meat --- chicken mostly.  I also did a colon cleanse w/this diet ...just added fiberblend from AIM.

I have heard amazing things about adding greens to your diet and staying away from chemical additives.  Green vegtables are a natural anti inflamitory agent...most people don't know that.
