My Dad is making ribs tonight, the small ones (I think thats pork, but not sure). I didn't see the box he got them in, and not sure about nutrition info. The info on the site has me confused, so can someone please give me an idea of how many calories are in a rib? Thanks, I'm pretty sure i have to count today as a binge since I've had 800 of my 1700 allowence today, but any help would be cool, thanks!

Small pork ribs, I think you must be looking at baby back ribs. The site lists "Baby Back Pork Ribs Fully Cooked - Manufactured by Wellshire Farms" it looks like the servering includes bones and I don't know what 5 ounces of ribs looks like.

I love ribs! My hubby and I have been on a search for the best in town ever since our favorite spot closed. I did find a take out place that was quite tasty but it's local so it's not here on CC. What I did was choose something I thought was pretty close which is Ruby Tuesdays 1/2 slab [cc id is 54990] I figured this was as close as I was going to get.
It might be more accurate to put in the type of ribs as fresh, either back ribs or country style, and then add separately the sauce or marinade. If the ribs are smaller, my guess is they are spareribs, which is a pretty popular cut. If it's a long (full) slab that is wider on one side and tapers to shorter ribs on the other side, those are St. Louis style. I would use the spareribs [cc id is 10089] as your guide for the calorie count. Then add in whatever you dress them with. You will also want to find out how they are prepared. If they are boiled or braised then the fat content will be a little less because it renders off. If they are roasted, oven baked or just done on the grill alone you may have a higher fat content because the fat doesn't render off as much as it would in a braise.
