Rice cookers are wonderful!  My advice on what to get:

Inexpensive:  3-6 cup cooker from good ol' Target or Wal-Mart

Top of the line:  Zojirushi fuzzy logic cooker on Amazon

There are also some good recipe books for rice cookers on Amazon, and more great advice on which to get.

hmmmm..... I see I can make sushi cheaply with all sorts of veggies and fish...

I bought a Wolfgang Puck one a few weeks ago for about $25.  I've been using it a lot for all sorts of recipes besides rice.  Last night I steamed corn on the cob & this morning I made steel cuts oats.  It also came with recipes, including a fabulous macaroni & cheese recipe.Innocent  It's non-stick & easy to clean.  Another good thing is you can't overcook in it.  It shuts off to keep warm.  One bad thing is it doesn't have rubber feet, so it slides around too easily on the counter top.  I put a silicon matt under it to stabilize.
