Phase 1 Prism friendly. If you use salted rice cakes you do not need the additional salt.

Recipe Ingredients for Rice 'Popcorn'

5 rice cakes, crumbled
1/4 t. sea salt
1/4 t. allspice
4 T. Syrup, rice

Recipe Directions for Rice 'Popcorn'

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Spray a 9x9x2 inch baking pan with non stick spray.

  3. In a large bowl stir in all ingredients except rice syrup.

  4. Add rice syrup 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring after each addition.

  5. Pour mixture into prepared baking pan.

  6. Dampen hands with water and press mixture firmly into pan.

  7. Bake 15 minutes or until mixture feels dry and not sticky to the touch.

  8. Remove pan from oven and place on a wire rack to cool for 5 minues.

  9. Use a spatula to cut and break mixture into whatever size pieces are desired.

  10. Serve as 'popcorn'.

  11. Do not refrigerate.

  12. Store in an airtight container.
