Somewhere down the road you and I got off on the wrong foot. Hi my name is Lynn, and I use to be 226 pounds on March 9 2007, and now I am 166 pounds since May of last week.... I only have 21 pounds to go.. Going for 145, and this is my program. I workout 5 days a week. I have 3 days of heavy weight training, and I work out 1 hour and 30 mins at the gym with my trainer.. 30 mins cardio, 30 mins Yoga or Pilates 30 mins Weight training. Dead Lifts.. Dumbbell Bench Press..Leg Extention.. Machine Chest Press.. Lying Leg Curls.. Leg Press.. Seated Cable Row.. Barbell Curl.. Barbell Bench Press.. Standing Barbell Press.. ECT.. I don't use low weights, so you will not find me lifting weak numbers with a Barbell or a dumbbell if that matters. My training list can go on and on.. I do what my trainer program that was design for me.. With all factors of what I want in mind.. My legs and my gloves is one thing. These are the things I have learn in other classes.. I do use my own weight during some of these workout, and you are right... There is no resistance really there.. I get that.. But this is what I do.. This is still giving me the burn I need. My low training during my breaks from the IRON.. The mega weights. I press out 100 because I choose to.. I have pressed over 250 so many times to the point of where.. I want to tone, and not build the bulk, and I do know a woman will not cut up like a man.. That is understandable. The things I've noted in my post are things that helps burn the outer thighs, and the inner things, and the front of my thighs, and my hamstrings and calves..  I'm not saying that your link was junk. I was just saying.. I will stay with what I've been doing.. What works for me works for me.. This link didn't show me nothing I didn't already know. And I'm sure my trainer knows these things as well.. I've already question my program to someone else here on CC... So far things sound about right. What I am doing with her isn't a waste of my time, and what she is doing for me isn't a waste of her time. I'm seeing results.. That's what matter. I can see if I didn't see any results, then your insults would be greatly appreciated. I'm not one to go off, and tell someone where to get off, or what they are doing is all wrong. That's me.. What works for you works for you.. What works for me works for me.. Now if you tell me to try something to improve something.. I would greatly appreciate it. I've clicked on links Melkor has provided me with, and they are all good links.. I never heard a word out of place from him.. I ask him.. Is what my trainer has me doing right for me.. I get that's about right. So I run with it, and all the other info he sends me to check out. Don't get me wrong.. Your link was just fine.. It didn't show me nothing I should be doing more of. I don't think.. I think I am going to stay with the programs I've been doing. This is what works for me... That's what works for you...  I did bookmark this link.... I'm not saying it's trash, and I'm too good for your link. I do greatly appreciate.. But I'm going to show you the same RESPECT like I do everyone else on CC.. Okay

Thighs will always touch, that is true...

but there is much to be said for losing weight so thighs do not rub against one another while walking.

When I was overweight I got rashes all the time, it was horrible.

Now I can wear skirts without there being a problem
Hey Lynn, nice to meet you.  I don't see where I was insulting you, not sure where you got that from.  Lot's of people seem to be getting that idea lately, I guess I don't mince words and sometimes women bristle at my presentation.

You didn't present your workout earlier like you did above and it sounds great.  Again, i'm glad it's working for you.  You have a greater understanding of weights than you made it sound.  It sounds like you and your trainer have a solid thing going.  I still stand by what I said though, that you're working yourself silly by doing hundreds of reps of something, basically working harder instead of smarter.  But it's ultimately up to you, like you said.

And congratulations on your progress!

Hi Shandykat, nice to me you too.. You know the list of things I noted before are only a few I pick from 2 to 3 days out of the week. These are things I must do to keep myself focus and in check.. Not only that.. If I don't do it.. I feel like Blah or I cheated myself... I do know about working out smarter. But when your body has a melt down from working out to hard too many days in a row.. It makes you go Hummm... What do I need to do.. I cut the weights. I cut them for a week, and I went into doing Many of these little things just so my body can recover but still get a good workout.. The recovery time was much needed.

You get sick of walking all the time when your body is down. SO the many things, and other things I listed became my mini recovery with a little workout involed.. I know all of this sounds like a lot, but... I got to do me.. I've been over weight all my adulthood, and being able to control this weight. This fat, and make it go away is a blessing to me.. I can do it. So if I am working out not so smart, then I agree with you. This is just my push. Besides.. I still feel the burn when I do so many of them. LOL, and it feels damn good.

You wouldn't tell a SUMO Fighter to cut back on the 6000 cals and stop doing the 2000 Sumo Squats a day now will you.  I feel they aren't getting anywhere with that.. But that's them.. LOL... I do thank you for your advice and the link.. No I think it was the hamster wheel that got me going after I look the post over again..

We are cool.... ;)

I apologize for the hamster wheel thing.  I didn't mean it as an insult at all.  It's a term I use for when a person is spinning their wheels but not getting anywhere, not making any progress forward, you know?   Heck, I use it for myself too.  It's not meant to be insulting, just descriptive.

Perhaps I should stop using it in this medium, where I don't know people, they can't see my body and face, and it's not an actual discussion where you can follow up with back and forth dialog.

You'll get the bitch of CC title when you pry it away from my cold, dead hands.

LOL! I've been so nice to everyone here, and its a pain in my rear! I have the title in my local area as the bitch from hell and I take quite a bit of pride in it. My best friend actually made me a trophy of it, and it sits on top of my fish tank as an acheivement in life. My childhood best friend is getting gastric because of my bitchiness (I kept losing weight and showing it off cause i'm working hard at it, she didn't, so now she's taking the extreme way of doing it... she's 380lbs) So you might have a new competitor... Laughing

"You'll get the bitch of CC title when you pry it away from my cold, dead hands."

ha!  It's funny, I enjoy your posts most of all.

You can keep the title though, i'm not trying to be one, it's just like kitten said above.  I don't often have time to write novels on here so I try and get right to the point and that doesn't leave a lot of time for making sure stuff doesn't sound so in-your-face.  I'm also pretty in-your-face in real life, but my friends are used to it :)  But it's not because I want to be shocking or offensive it's just my personality.

Anyway...enough about me.  Lynn..hope that explains things better. :)  hope odie reads this too...heh...

/end hijack

You are just one of those girls who gets to the punch.. You don't beat the bush. I get it.. I'm not upset with you.. Just one of those persons that don't do good in your face stuff. I snap a little too fast, and my floks say I need to work on that.

But hey.. I get you.. I hope I do.. Anyway.. Tough love or right to the point. I do get it.... That's just you..

? Who's 380- well who ever you are... I wish you nothing but the best of luck.

Even tho many of us don't like the thighs touching ( as mine do too im a little out of shape) Men and women are built different... I think its the just natural figure and phesique of a women to have that shape of leg that will touch,..legs tend to be more curved. UNless you have very narrow or scrony legs no offense. But i'd say its normal.

Oh :( I hate that she wants you to gain weight, and I am sure it's hard not to get on her case about it. I hate that she feels that way too. I use to be 226, but I never in my life had a problem with men. I carry my weight well when I gain it, but I don't like it when people come up to me and ask me when I am I due.. I'm a pear.. Pears carry weight well I think, and carrots.. I don't know where that term of the body type came from.. But I hope one day she gets on board with some kind of program, and help herself.. You look good by the way.. I don't think it's right for her to say things to you like that. Maybe one day she will come to you for help. The only thing with that is.. Will she run with the advice or drop out before she gets started.. My friend- one of them is like that.. She starts on Monday and drops out by Tuesday.. I wish you nothing but the best.. You look good.. You keep on doing what's right for you.. She will come on board later on.. :)

Hey I know I'm not really to involved in  this conversatiooon . . .  But anyway

I heard of this inner thigh exercise - a few strangly enough, I'll give you a couple, there's one where you get a box and place weights inside and push the box from side to side across the floor using the inner side of your foot as if you were kicking a football/soccerball but do it slowly, another exercise is...

Inner Thigh Lift for Thigh Fat - Lie on your left side with your hips and ankles in line with your shoulders, and your right knee bent at a 90 degree angle. Slowly lift your left leg as high as possible, hold, then return to starting position. Do 10 repetitions and then switch sides

That's all I know

I think it is attractive to have a gap btewwn the thighs, not a huge gap, but nonw the les, plus - it feels really... Good!! - - I think to have that gap people find it hard because either..

They used to be very heavy and because of that their muscles worked out by carrying the weight and now their legs will be bigger even if thy had no fat in that area,

Or they had narrow hips

Loose skin gives the appearance and feel of fat

etc.

hope i helped? : -)> . . .
