I was just a little while ago awoken very rudely to the fact that I have gained some weight. Not a lot of weight but enough to make me freak out. I am still within the healthy bmi but i feel awful...am i within reason or am i just being paranoid?

if it's not a lot of weight and you're still at a healthy BMI then i think you have nothing to worry about, if you're young the changes could be internal and not even visible to the outside. you develop well into your 20s and the weight gain is natural throughout the teenage years!!

It's never too late (or too early) to adopt a healthy eating plan.   Focus on eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, stay away from processed foods as much as you can.  Try to be active and I am sure within a short period of time you will be back to wherever you were previously and feel a lot better for it.

I hope you feel better today.  We all have days like that.  Just don't let the number on the scale dictate how you feel.  If I eat someting the night before that is not healthy I feel bad the next day..bloated, swollen.   Also a couple days before my period I feel this way.  As you get to know your body and what it needs to be healthy you will feel better.  Ups and downs are normal though.    The great thing is we have a lifetime to enjoy our healthy bodies so enjoy the process.
