What a great way to stay on track throughout the holidays and start losing the weight before the new year rather than putting it off until it's time to make resolutions.

 

I'm looking to lose 10lbs by then. We'll have weigh-ins every Friday. I'll even throw in a little "fitness-friendly" goodie bag for everyone who completes the challenge and sticks to the weigh-in deadlines. Who's with me?

Starting weight: 177

Goal Weight: 167 (or lower, I won't complain!)


Height: 5'4"

Method: Low-calorie diet, morning runs and city walking (New York, NY)

Height 5'4"

(Body Fat percentage: 37%)

Goal Weight: 127 and Reduce Body Fat by 2 percent.

Method:30-45 min. of cardio 5 days of week and 3 days of strength training; avoid processed food, reduce alcohol intake on weekends, eat more fruits and veggies and less processed carbs. Limit myself to one treat each week.

I know today is supposed to be the 1st weigh in day, but I was wondering if I could join. I would love to lose 10 lbs by the 1st, it would be a great way to start the New Year and a birthday present to myself.

Method - Cardio 3-4 times a week including HIIT 3x and at least 2 days of weight training. I need to pay close attention to portion size and carb intake.

Its Saturday morning in Australia so I will post stats now.

Current Weight 77 kilos

Goal Weight 73 Kilos

(I may go out and buy a new scale as its hard for me to adjust to this vs. pounds)

Height 5'4"

Method - Wow, you gals are inspirational.  I walk for 90 minutes  twice a week, but I will now increase that to 4X.

Im in NZ and dont have pounds on my scales either!!! but 1kg = 2.2 pounds. I was 77 kgs same as you in October so I know that its 168 pounds (or close to) And Im 73 kg now which it about 160-161 pounds.

Good luck to reach this goal, I have managed it in 6 weeks so Im sure you'll make it by New Year!!!

Hi all!

Day late for weigh in.  The worst part is I don't even have a good excuse!

I started at the beginning of the month at

157.8 lbs

If I can get down to 150 by Dec 31 at midnight that would be awesome!  I am in  a weight loss challenge with some girls at work and our weigh in is Jan 31. 

My plan is to eat healthier (I just put the rest of my sugar cookie is the garbage as I am typing!), cardio 4-5 days a week with weights 3 days a week.

I too  need to decrease the alcohol.  I drank Vodka/club sodas last night and they werent that bad.

GW for Jan 1st: 165 lbs, but I would even be happy at 168 lbs because that would put me at 60 lbs lost this year!

Just found your challenge and would like to join. Have been trying on my own and it would be a great incentive to be accountable with your group. I'm trying for 215 by January 1st.

Starting Weight November 14th: 226 lbs.

I had said I wanted to join this challenge, however I had emergency surgery last week and havent been able to post my starting wieght!  I hope it is ok that I do it now and continue this challenge!

Starting Weight (November 14): 168.9

Goal Weight (January 1, 2009): 158 or below

Body Fat Percentage: 33.9%

What a great week I had!

was a bit stunned when I jumped on the scales this morning and apparently Ive lost 5 pounds in one week! Actually I think that its probably to do with the fact that this is the first time in ages Ive weighed myself first thing in the morning, before breakfast two glasses of water and a cup of tea, and without my jeans on. So Cool, didnt realise what a difference that makes, I tried then with the jeans on and bang they add a half kilo!!! Well wont do that again.

Anyway back to the stats

Nov 14th : 161 (now Im not sure that was right, was probably actually a few pounds lighter)

Today: 156!

Goal: 151

Oh yeah also Im converting from Kgs so there could be some rounding errors in my conversions, but still Im down 2 kgs!!! YAY

I, too was shocked to stand on the scale this morning. (After last night when I cheated a bit with some high-calorie cocktails!) Looks like I'm finally following through with a non-fad diet and it's working! Everybody keep up the good work! Next week will be a challenge!

I haven't been running in the morning, but I live in a big city, so I think the hustling around has helped. :)
