RIP Dr. Tiller

I really don't have the words to describe what I'm feeling right now that won't get censored.  I've been fearing that this might start to happen again. 

For anyone on here who might work at a clinic: please be alert, review any safety procedures you have, and stay safe.

I feel the same way, and I'm concerned for my friend who works in one.

Agreed, what a hypocrite. It's so sad that someone who was helping women to make choices about their bodies had to live his life in fear.

Dr. Tiller survived a clinic bombing and prior shooting in the fight for a woman's right to choose. Whether one believe in that right or not, this was a heinous act of violence by a domestic terrorist.

RIP Doctor.

Oh Lord.  They found the suspect in Gardner?  That's where I live!  I'm not terribly surprised though.  We do have some freaky weird townies here.  It's good to know that at least our police didn't drop the ball this time.  Unfortunately, we do have a couple of Barney's on the force, but I'm glad they stepped up and caught this crazy freak.

I saw an article by him sometime last year about why he continued his work. I hope I can find it and post a link. It was beautifully written.

 Hey mooni.  Don't blame a whole group of people on one freak's actions.  Most of the pro-life community have denouced the murder.

 "the rest"  are a small minority of crazies.  Only a small number of Muslims are terrorists.  Only a small number of Christians are involved in the KKK.  Only a small number of people would approve this guys actions in the pro-life community.   

Guy should be charged with a hate crime as well.

This saddens and infuriates me at the same time.

I don't know, taking one life to save hundreds sounds like a no-brainer to me.

(disclaimer: the previous post does not reflect my personal beliefs but is posted to point out the mentality of many in the USA.)

And to those many: Hundreds of lives will not be saved. Every woman that wants an abortion will still get one. Dr. Tiller's death does nothing for the pro life movement, except set them back 10 years.

I'll bet the killer was a republican.
