RMR test tomorrow any guesses?

Quote  |  Reply

So I am doing an RMR test tomorrow, any guesses what the number will be? Smile

My stats: Male, 26 years old, 5ft 9.5inches, 136-138 pounds. I was around 133 couple month ago.

This is a test where you seat in a quite room breathing in to this aparatus for 15 minutes. The number suppose to represent how many calories I burn if I just seat in front of a computer/TV all day.

Do you know the official name of this test, id really love to know mine so that I can adjust my intake accordingly.

Well at least at the place where I am taking it, it just called "Resting Metabolic Rate Test (RMR)".

Well I got it measured. My RMR is 1126, so without activity my calorie intake should be around 1460. This is just sad.

Im an active person too and was surprised to get mine back a while ago at 1400. Seems low no?? Oh well, apparently were doing something right as we live healthy active lifestyles and are no overweight.

F*k rmr lol

your results shock me because i got this same test done at my school when i was around 100 pounds and not very active, it said that mine was about 1270. they tested my body fat and weight as well and factored that into the calculation somehow, hmm i would want it tested again...lol. it seems low.

Yeah kind of depressing to know how slow my metabolism is. Frown It's inline with the test I did in December.
