My 2.5-year-old found a rock in our garden, brought it to me and said, "This is Rock Obama!"  He wanted to bring "Rock Obama" in the house, but we told him that Rock Obama lives on our front porch, and that's where he would be happiest.

Kids....Smile

heehehe that is so cute!

kids are the best :P

Ugh that is too funny.  What a cutie.

"Rock Obama lives on our front porch, and that's where he would be happiest."

I find that to be a racist statement.

You MUST be kidding.  He's a rock...

Heeeey.  Rocks have feelings too.

OK, I'm guilty of Rockism.  I'm going home right now and bringing in Rock Obama.  And his family.

Man, I feel guilty.

what a brilliant little boy you have!  He's reinvented the pet rock!

I am appalled (and offended) at the anti-porch sentiment in this thread.

Tongue out

booo! Rockism is alive and well in the US!

some rocks (and sticks) prefer to be in the rugged outdoors, where they can be their rugged selves

And how are rocks and sticks going to fend for themselves if humans insist on providing them everything in cushy climate controlled houses?

Like when people feed geese in public parks, they may think they're helping them, but they're really not.

Tongue out

well, maybe some rocks and sticks like to be indoors (the ones that don't have mud caked all over them, or spider eggs laid on them) but a LOT of rocks and sticks would really rather be outside

it's sort of elitist to assume that everyone wants to be indoors and not on the porch

Wink

If it had been the back porch that would have been a whole other story.

Well I just don't think we should be able to tell ANY rock where it has to stay.  All rocks should be freeeee!!

Whereas the backyard gazebo would be reverse rock and stickism....

It can happen people.

This made me giggle!  My 2.5yo son calls him Rock Bama when he sees him on tv.  And he also knows 'John Cain."  Smile

Rock Obama was packing his bags this morning, in preparation for his move to the White House front porch.

He will be missed here.  Cry

May Rock Obama's transition be a smooth one

*grants equal access to marriage for stones and pebbles, but advises that you will rue the day*
