Roll Call - July 2008 Exercise Challenge!!

Quote  |  Reply

How much do you want to exercise a month?
How can you push yourself out that door when the last thing you want to do is go to the gym?
Easy - Challenge yourself!!!
Pick a goal and work towards it!!!

What is exercise you ask?
Its whatever you do over and above your normal everyday activity. If you start taking the stairs instead of the elevator due to your wanting to improve your health this is exercise - if you park further from the door and walk extra - this is exercise. However if your work requires you to be on your feet running around all day - this is lifestyle and not exercise and should be added to your "activity level" in your account. I think its important for you to be honest with yourself so you will truly get the benefit of this challenge.

I think I'll make it.

LOTS of exercise today - walking AND swimming... it looks like I'm going to blow this month's goal right out of the water! 935/1250

add in 20 minutes if you consider yelling at the screen during tonight's UFC matches exercise.  I do not.  GO SILVA!

Got over an hour of wogging (1st c2k effort), yoga and stretching this morning. About 30 minutes of shopping yesterday, at least that is all I am counting!

godess9: YOU can make! Think positive!

Way to go kajikit! Keep it up and we'll all get jealous!

alle0299: believe it! Have faith in yourself. You, and we, are making lifestyle changes!

I biked for the first time in about 15 years today and went 18 miles!  I don't think I am going to be able to sit or walk normally for a week!  Laughing

Bobev, thanks! :D

Alle, congrats! Knew you could do it all the way. :)

I moved out of my old apartment today, and it took hours. I'm logging it as exercise because I was huffing and puffing. Huffing and puffing = aerobics for me LOL.

Starting the c2k training has added time to workouts. A good thing! I might be able to move up to a 1500 0r 1750 minute target! I'm into the home stretch on my initial weight target. 1 more lab to go, 11 for the longer term! Who Hoo!

1750/1500 ... definitely going to up my goal for next month ...

goddess - thank you! but that wasn't the dreaded 20 minute run, just three 8 minute segments split up by the 5 minute walk Laughing  Wednesday is the big day!

bobev - Welcome to the C25K club!  You're gonna hate it and love it!

So many people are having such a successful month - it's so motivating!
