Roll Call - July 2008 Exercise Challenge!!

Quote  |  Reply

How much do you want to exercise a month?
How can you push yourself out that door when the last thing you want to do is go to the gym?
Easy - Challenge yourself!!!
Pick a goal and work towards it!!!

What is exercise you ask?
Its whatever you do over and above your normal everyday activity. If you start taking the stairs instead of the elevator due to your wanting to improve your health this is exercise - if you park further from the door and walk extra - this is exercise. However if your work requires you to be on your feet running around all day - this is lifestyle and not exercise and should be added to your "activity level" in your account. I think its important for you to be honest with yourself so you will truly get the benefit of this challenge.

Walked yesterday in the rain. Hurricane Dolly made landfall about 250 miles south of us. The weather was wild and I was crazy enough to go out walking in it. I have to admit though, I sure had fun. But I'm not sure how to log walking into 47 mph winds. Wink I've also now have officially lost my first 20 lbs! Yeah!

Made it with a few days to spare! But more important, I kept to the challenge of working out with weights at leats 2x a week. Haven't seen results yet, but sticking to it.

By the end of my vacation....since I am leaving and won't be back til august I will be at

1700/1500!  Yay!

I guess I was a little over zealous going for 2000 for my first time.  I still might make it, I have a very long run tomorrow and next week I am supposed to log quite a few miles, so there is still hope for me...

oh boy should have started sooner in the month.
