Roll Call - July 2008 Exercise Challenge!!

Quote  |  Reply

How much do you want to exercise a month?
How can you push yourself out that door when the last thing you want to do is go to the gym?
Easy - Challenge yourself!!!
Pick a goal and work towards it!!!

What is exercise you ask?
Its whatever you do over and above your normal everyday activity. If you start taking the stairs instead of the elevator due to your wanting to improve your health this is exercise - if you park further from the door and walk extra - this is exercise. However if your work requires you to be on your feet running around all day - this is lifestyle and not exercise and should be added to your "activity level" in your account. I think its important for you to be honest with yourself so you will truly get the benefit of this challenge.

Keep track of your time and post your accumalative totals daily or weekly whichever you prefer.

Please post your totals in this format:

Minutes done/goal time so we can more easily find which section you are in

Example: 60/1500

The timekeepers don't keep track of your accumulative times for you.

************************PLEASE READ*********************

Please do NOT post until you have accumulated some minutes towards your goal.
We are no longer adding people until they actually have times to post.

Thank you!

Tomorrow, I should be at my goal. 10 minute warm-up, 25 minute jog (last one!), then 10 minute cool down for a total of 1513/1500.

Make that 1528/1500. Laughing

I did it! I really wanted to make the last two hundred minutes so I went on a long shopping trip yesterday and again today... and racked up about four hours of walking between them! 1250/1250

1056/1000

Congrats to everyone for all the hard work and dedication!  Keep up the good work.

See you in August!

2026/2000 -- just came back from a run -- I never run, and when I do -- it's not on pavement.....  see where desperation (and cheeseburgers) can lead us to????

Thanks timekeepers!

Congrats to EVERYONE for your participation!

Again, I ask that if anyone is willing to volunteer a few minutes of their time to help keep the challenge going, PLEASE contact me via my screenname, mcderin.
We have a few timekeepers who have had issues arise that are not allowing us to spend as much time contributing as we would like to.
ANY assistance from someone who has participated for several months and knows how important the timekeeping is to keeping everyone motivated would be GREATLY appreciated.

Again, please contact me at my screenname (a link directly to my profile is in the original post at the bottom).

Thank you, from ALL the current timekeepers and thank you TO all the other timekeepers.

Not to bad for my first challenge, not to mention, I really slacked off a lot this month.  Hoping to do better next month!

Thanks for all the motivation...I need all I can get!

3266/3000 - I did it! I'm not sure my schedule will allow this much next month but I hope to get close. Thanks for the challenge~ Beth
