Roll- Call July Exercise Challenge
This month we are doing things a bit different. We are not doing a sign up thread - to participate simply post your time and your goal time and we timekeepers will add you to the list.
How much do you want to exercise a month? How can you push yourself out that door when the last thing you want to do is go to the gym? Easy challenge yourself pick a goal and work for it!!!
The American Heart Association offers a free online excercise tracker and lots of information to improve your heart heatlh.

What is exercise you ask - its whatever you do over and above your normal everyday activity. If you start taking the stairs instead of the elevator due to your wanting to improve your health this is exercise - if you park further from the door and walk extra - this is exercise. However if your work requires you to be on your feet running around all day - this is lifestyle and not exercise and should be added to your "activity level" in your account.. I think its important for you to be honest with yourself so you will truly get the benefit of this challenge.

Relatively new to this site (I've silently been reading the forums for a month or so now), and I'm not sure I understand how this challenge is supposed to work.

WE aren't taking names this time before the challenge starts. We had so many people sign up never to return again so this month we the timekeepers will add the names as people post their times.
I am also in need of timekeepers So PLEASE let me know if you might be interested. If we get enough it would only be about 5 minutes a day.

I also have a suggestion. I have been keeping my own time with a ticker, so that I only need to report my accumulated time to the forum 2 or 3 times a month. This cuts down the workload of the volunteers and yet keeps enough motivation for me. I am wondering if this will help out in the situation.

I wish I could help you out in July as a time keeper, but I will be gone 2 weeks out of the month. I'll be checking in where free wifi is available but not regularly. Probably won't be back until Aug 2/3 but will be able to help as long as it's ok I'm late. Thanks, again.
