Rollerblading/Inline Skating with Stroller?
Has anyone done this before. I love to inline skate and I would love to take my LO with me. I skate in a park that is pretty hilly so I'm a little aprehensive! Should I get a jogger stroller? Is it safe? Is there a special stroller made for this sort of activity?
Do NOT try this with a regular stroller.
You need a stroller that :
1: Is stable. Will not tip if you go down.
2: Has a saftey cord (or you attach one) that ties the stroller handles to your wrist so that if/when you do take a tumble while going down hill, your stroller (and child) doesn't get away from you.
3: Has room for your rollerblades to glide. One with a basket underneath may get in the way. If the stroller isn't high enough, you may end up kicking it with each stride.
I used to take the twins I nannied out to a skate/bike/walking trail and go rollerblading with them in there. It was a lot of fun, but you really need to make sure you have the proper stroller for it!
Running strollers are ideal, they have most of these things in mind when designed.
Oh, and always remember to use the buckle (if it is a young child, a 5 point harness is best)
So you are saying that if I buy a Jogging Stroller then I should be good? I'm thinking I may not buy one until the Spring because I won't be doing much rollerblading in the Winter, unless I hurry and buy one now. I could get a few more weeks of skating in before it gets cold here.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:

- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
