rollercoasster work out??
I work out so great for one week and then i just shoot down like i dont feel like even walking to the kitchen kinda of lazy. How do i find a middle ground. If i do have a heavy work out week how do I motivate my body to at least go for a walk of slow jog the next week.
does any one have any tips?
Have you set any goals? It's easy to just give up if you don't have an idea of what you want to accomplish and how you are progressing. Having a workout partner might help keep you on track as well.
Sounds like maybe you are overdoing it on the weeks you do "so great". Try looking at setting a goal over one month. Maybe shoot for working out 3-4 days each week (I like every other day workouts) and giving yourself some days off. Also, try doing a variety of activities that you enjoy, so you don't feel like your just "putting your time in". And lastly, just get out there and do something on those lazy days, even if it is just a short walk. You will ALWAYS feel better. Good luck!
To help me stick to my workout schedule, I always tell myself that even if I don't want to do my planned run, I have to at least walk. I mean, how hard is it to walk for 30 mins, given that I run for longer than that usually. That way, I have no excuse to skip the gym completely...and I found that once I actually get there, I always end up feeling good enough to run.
All that being said, I don't always want to work out, but I make myself do it anyway because I need to. I don't always want to go to work either, but I do it because I have to. I pretty much treat my workouts the same way. My body needs them, so I do them, even when I don't feel like it.
Good luck!!
Not too sure what to do for motivation. One thing, that seems kind of cheesy and I don't admit to too often is, I always want to be prepared physically(and mentally) for any situation. I would hate for some sort of disaster to strike and not be able to helps friends, family or even complete strangers escape harm. That and I like getting perfect scores on PT tests. ;)
One quote that sticks with me is, "You will never, ever regret a workout upon its completion." It's so true.

Me too. I want to be ready for the zombie invasion. Rule #1: Cardio, but if you can't lift a machine gun to spray a horde of brain-sucking zombies when you're cornered you're SOL. So Rule #2: be strong.

Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
This is the best way to picture a portion of pie or cake: Draw a circle to represent the circumference of the cake or pie (9" pie? 10" cake?... Read more
