I've counted calories, counted points, subtracted calories, sweated, ached and I'm back here at the beginning again. Counting calories. I've been on Weight Watchers, tried out my own Jenny Craig type plan and a few other websites. I always end up back here. I have a lot of trouble staying motivated. I find that if I mess up or go over on my cals for the day, I just quit. I give up too easily, I get tired of tracking, writing, calculating things and always having to focus on what I put into my mouth. I always think that I am thinking about it too much. If I was able to put my attention somewhere else, I will shed those pounds. Not so. So then, I think that I'm not paying enough attention to what I eat and that if I go back to my food journal, I'll shed those pounds. Sound familiar? Now I'm back here. I live in Richardson, Texas, I'm 24, looking to lose about 50-60 lbs. and recently engaged. My wedding is in April and I know getting to my actual goal by then isn't possible, so I've modified my goal to 50 lbs by April 1 and 20 more by June 1. I just kinda am looking for a calorie counting bud that's in my area that can help me stay on track and that I can offer my help to. :)

Welcome back! You sound just like me. As a matter of fact this happened to me this weekend. I had a donut on Friday and it lead to a whole weekend of eating what ever I wanted. I was up a couple of pounds on Monday but know I am back down to .6lbs less than last week. So don't give up.

By the way I live in Grand Prairie TX. and work in Carrollton so not too far from you.

oh wow. thanks for the encouragement. i think i just needed to get it all out. im really not that much of a bummer lol. i used to live in duncanville. not too far from you. can i add you to my friends? what are your goals? :)
My first goal is to get under 200 right now I am at 204.8 so almost there. On here it says I should be around 123 I don't think I want to get that low. I really would like to be under 150 and go from there.
Hey, I was just reading thru threads and wanted to let you know that you're not alone!  I'm the same way...if I screw up one day I think "oh well, I guess I just CAN'T do this!"  I've found the advice from other's here at CC very helpful... If you have a bad day, just pick up the peices and start again.  Nobody is perfect and this dieting/healthy living lifestyle is NOT easy stuff sometimes!  The important part is getting back on track and changing little things at a time.  It cannot all be done overnight and it's important to remember that.  Unfortunately the weight is SO much harder to get off than it is to put on!  :)
