I've eaten 905 calories so far today. 125 in apples and yogurt, and 780+ in cookie dough. My day is ruined, and I am a fat a**! I hate myself.

Don't fret too much girl!  I have eaten a lot also and it isn't even 11:00 here.  remember, it takes 3500 EXTRA calories just to gain a pound.  Just eat a reasonable amount for the rest of the day and if you go a bit over your goal or maintenance, just remember its only ONE day and you will do better tomorrow.  You can't just starve yourself or deprive yourself or you may end up binging more or messing up your metabolism.  Its okay hun ^^
it's good to eat lots in the morning!  don't sweat it.  your day is only ruined if you decide it is (and i'm not even talking about food).
Please try not to be so hard on yourself. We all have those "off" days. Just pick yourself back up; say "Oh well - I'll do better tomorrow" and then, well.... just try to do better. It's okay! I promise. Please don't sabotage yourself. I've been where you are at - we all have. You're not alone!! :)

The only reason your day is ruined is because YOU have decided it is.

You have the power, the control. It's YOUR decision to continue to be angry and hate yourself...

Or go exercise a bit, eat sensibly, but well, the rest of the day, and conquer your own doubts in yourself. 

your day is NOT ruined, you just had a reallly big breakfast. don't use this as an excuse to go nuts for the rest of the day. also, don't use it as a reason to starve for the rest of the day either.

eat a reasonable lunch and dinner, squeeze in a work out if you can, and don't worry about it.

Your day is not over. Don't starve yourself because you are close to your limit. As long as you get back on track tomorrow you'll be fine. Don't worry about it and don't try to make up for it, just forget about it and concentrate on your meals for tomorrow and the rest of the day.

I think you may also want to remove temptation. Toss the cookie dough! I am trying to quit smoking so I tossed all cigs, lighters and ash trays. If you get rid of all the junk food in your house then you have to physically go to the store to get fat.

I'm a teenager who has a mother who loves to bake, and does it well! I'm screwed everyday! I want to lose 10 pounds, it's just soo hard with her! No wait, with my lack of self control. No one forces me to eat, I choose to. Urgh, self-loathing!!
Go workout! That will make you feel better and more justified. Even if it's just a two  mile walk... just go do something!
She's 5'10" 143lbs her BMI is:

Losing 10lbs will put her underweight.  I think she may be trolling for attention.  I recommend that no one else post to feed the troll.
nocturne, the kid feels like crap because she ate cookie dough.  her bmi is irrelevant to the fact that she feels like crap.  stop being a morality cop.
She's lost her period PG, she wants to be underweight, and she is calling herself a fat ass.  She's also belonged to the forum for a grand total of 5 days.   She doesn't need to be posting on a weight loss site.

But yeah alright, let's support her.

If you had PMed me and explained your view, and I felt it was valid, I would have deleted my post and apologized.  I believe that it would have showed your support in a much more mature manner.  But now I just feel insulted.  I have respect for you and I value your opinion. 

There are only two types of teens who spend time on weight loss forums posting these type of specific threads.  Trolls, or those with EDs/poor body image.

There are many well rounded young adults who post in the young calorie counter forum, and I think they are doing a great thing for themselves by keeping informed.  This is NOT one of those cases.

 i know EXACTLY how you feel.  My mom actually has an ED and part of what she does to keep herself from eating is constantly cook incredibly delicious food for her family..and I have a HUGE sweet tooth so I have found myself in situations where, yes, I managed to eat massive amounts of food and feel incredibly guilty about it. 

Just take everyone's advice...decide that the day is not ruined, work off some steam, and try not to beat yourself up about it! 

nocturne, you clearly have made up your mind about this girl based solely on your interpretation of a few posts.  you've already labelled her.  if you think she's a "troll," it's well within your right to ignore the post and go elsewhere.  personally, i don't think she's a "troll," i think she's a human being, and if i see someone throwing around labels and calling names, i'm going to say something publicly.  i'm sorry that you feel insulted, but those are your feelings.

i believe that if someone is demanding attention, they need attention.  and on the days when i don't have the patience for it, i stay away.  it's not my job to decide who is authentic and who isn't.

pgeorgian, in nocturne's defense, this particular girl has had OVER 25 id's in the past 4 months.  I think this is like 27 or 28 now.  I finally stopped writing them down and counting.

In the past, nocturne has responded to many of her ID's.

Now, you can flame ME all you want... I'm a big girl and really don't give a flying rat's arse.  I've tried many times, and on many IDs to help this particular poster and the fact remains that she doesn't want to be helped.  She simply wants the attention she can get here, and hopefully people to tell her that she's doing the right thing by attempting to lose weight.

She is a high school swimmer (not sure if her swim season is still going on or not), she had been burning 3-4000 cals per day and only taking in 12-1500.  THAT is why her weight is stalled and that is why she's been missing her period since last June.  Nothing can convince her to up her calories to a more moderate amount to continue the weight loss she so desperately craves.

So if you'd still like to support her, be my guest, but please do so fully informed.  She seems like a really sweet girl, but she can be slightly more frustrating than even my own brother was at the age of 14.

i don't want to say too much either way now, but my guess off of the post and what others have said is that your starving yourself, and your body is going to binge on whatever it can get then... if you fill yourself up with enough healthy calories, then you won't go nuts on whatever you can get your hands on and over indulge.... for today, go exercise and eat healthy, but for the future, this is going to keep happening if you don't eat enough... i was on swim team in high school and the workouts can be grueling!!!  if you eat more healthy stuff- fruits, veggies, and PROTEIN especially your body will feel better and you won't go nuts on baked goods :)  when you wake up make sure you get a good hearty breakfast in to make up for the previous days work out and get yourself going for the current day.  and if you are missing a period this is a very serious issue- this happened to me too and it's a huge neon sign that your body is actually shutting down your reproductive parts because it can't take care of itself.  more than likely your school has or can refer a nutrionist to help you work out a meal plan to keep you healthy and looking good.

 

i don't pretend to know anything about anyone here beyond what they have told me, and i assume what they tell me to be true.  she didn't tell me that she has an ED or that she's lost her period; she told me that she felt bad about eating cookie dough.

there probably aren't more than a dozen id's that i even recognize from one day to the next, and i'm certainly not collecting evidence to use against anyone.  whether or not she's had previous id's is again irrelevant.  i've changed id's myself, when i felt that one member in particular was stalking me on the boards, judging me, and misinterpreting everything i said.

I just checked out my log and instead of useing ozs i used grams.....so..............i got the worng nubbers for the chicken i had for dinner...............i it put me over a hundred cals................tomorrow i will work out more.............just like you should......

Ive been here before too, but you realise yyou are still nder your calories for today.Just have a salad or similar later and write today off as a bad day.Hey, yesterday i had a big piece of apple pie with full fat ice cream but i know that it equals 3500 extra calories to put on even a pound.

So you wont gain weight, dont worry.

However if this is how you feel eating unhealthy foods perhaps you should consider making healthier food choices-not only good for your waist but also your mind =)
