So lately I've been getting a headache while running.  I'm not sure if its just the cooler weather or if its because I need sunglasses to block the sun.

Do you run wearing sunglasses? and if so what kind?

i don't.  in the summer, they make my nose sweat and in the winter they freeze my brain.  i run in a baseball-style cap, if it's not so cold that i need my ears covered.

I'm not a runner, so I shouldn't respond, but I always wear sunglass when I ride my bike.  I wear them for eye protection from airborn objects, the sun, and the wind, I wear contacts so I don't want my eyes to dry out.  I also change the lenses depending on light conditions.  I wear Oakley M Frames.

Only at night.

I do because too much sun can prompt a migraine for me.  I don't wear any special sunglasses though.  I think I picked mine up from Walgreen a couple years ago.  I won't spend more than $15 bucks for a pair because I'd kick myself in the rear if I did and then lost or broke them.

Thanks guys.  I think I'll try using a baseball cap first and if that doesn't work I'll try and find some sun glasses.

I wear Smith sunglasses. They stay on my face. If it's hot, I'll sweat under the nosepiece but they don't slide off. Just relying on a hat for eye protection isn't the best idea.

I run a lot and I wear sunglasses.  Mine are prescription and aren't fancy but they keep the UV's out of my eyes (can be damaging) and keeps me from squinting so the bonus is no crows feet.

i wear my sunglasses at night.... i don't know the rest of the words to the song lalalalalala

I definitely wear sunglasses when I run. Gotta protect those eyes!!

I tried every pair of $100+ sports glasses I could find and you know what felt the best? The $15 Oakley knock offs from Walgreens. I'm sure there are more to Oakleys than the name and I'm not even going to pretend to be an expert on the matter. Just throwing it out there to save you $100 or so!

Running is reserved as an indoor activity for me.. but I do bike and I always wear sunglasses! If you're having headaches it's certainly worth a shot. It's also possible it's just your sinuses having a fit (try breathing thru a warm moist towel .. if it helps, it's likley a sinus issue)

edit: As to what type.. they're just lightweight small framed cheapys ;)

I always do.  My eyes are very sun sensitive.  Plus, the glasses block the wind which makes me tear up.  Nothing more annoying then tears streaming down your face in the freezing cold.  Chafed (sp?) cheeks are not pretty.

I tried wearing sunglasses but I run on trails and the light is so variable that sometimes you don't see that inevitable root on the trail and OOPs you are basically you are on your belly.

I run with a Athleta baseball cap that is made specifically for woman - it has vents to cool you down and the brim does hold up in the rain and sun. I love it.

I tried expensive glasses and cheapies and could not find anything.

Good Luck.
