random running question- I much prefer to run in shorts, but they always seem to ride up and my thighs get kind of chafed...a little embarassing to be constantly pullimg dowm my shorts when I run, plus the chafing is painful. Any thoughts? I've thought to wear spandex under but I haven't gotten around to buying a pair yet lol

For the chafing...body glide!  It works wonders.  I have the issue when I wear tanks...chafe on the inside of my arm.  It looks liek a deoderant stick.  It's great!  Don't know about the shorts thing--are they cotton or more of a running/wicking short?  Maybe the fabric could make a difference!
I second the Body glide it works great! I reccomend the spandex to but the body glide is great.
I wear lightweight running shorts usually...where can you get bodyglide?
You can get bodyglide at any running store, maybe even some athletic stores.  It is great.  But since I have a bit of extra weight on, I need to wear spandex under my shorts to prevent the leg chafing.  The bodyglide isn't quite enough for me yet!
just to make ourselves feel better... my bf is fit. 190 and 6'1. and a runner. and he ALWAYS uses bodyglide. Even fit people have thighs that touch ;)
you can get body glide at cycling shops too
Just joining the body glide chorus- it's great for chafing and also good if you get itchy legs from dry skin when you run.
And if you cannot get Bodyglide (not available here in Vietnam), plain old Vaseline will work just as well.

I wear biker hort unde my shorts. they prevent chafing and even if your shorts ride up the biker shorts still have everything covered. Also i love the biker shorts becuase when orking out and doing situps and what not my shorts tend to slide up.
shorts are too short/small.  Body glide is great, but I have two pairs of shorts that I sometimes try and wear, and every time..... yep.... chafing that makes me nearly cry.....

Just my opinion.
