Thi is another dumb question but when you run or jog do you carry a water bottle with you? I never see any of the other joggers at the park with water, but I get so thirsty halfway through my workout. I keep thinking it would be sort of heavy and akward to jog with. I walk to the park from my house so it's not like I can keep one in the car.

I do...but I understand. I don't see anyone else with one. I saw 1 other person over the summer. I am jogging in 48 degree weather and still need a FULL bottle of water. So, who cares what other people think, take water!!
I always run with water, no matter how far I'm running. I did a 5K in December, it was 29 degrees, and I still ran with it.
I don't get thirsty unless I was already dehydrated and tried to play catch up all day with my water intake. I did just buy a camel pack for my marathon though. I don't think I could even go half with out water!
I actually can't run with anything in my stomach. Even water. I get really bad cramps from only a few sips of water before or during a run.
using a heart rate monitor on workout days, I find that without water, my body will stress faster, and heart rate will peak faster. With a sip of water about every 5 to 10 minutes, I can run up to 50% farther (90mins vs 60 mins)
i run with a 'camel back'. its a lightweight pack that has straps like a back pack that only carries water and has a small tube that hangs over your shoulder so while you are running you bite/suck on the mouthpiece to get hydrated. It also has a zipper dept for keys and a cell. it really isn't heavy and it holds at least four cups of water. Sporting goods stores sell them. i can't run without water and carrying a water bottle throws me off balance.
If I'm going to be out for more than 75-90 minutes regardless of temp, or if I am going to be out any time in high temps and/or humidity, yes, I carry water.
But, in the winter it might not have looked like I was. I have these little water bottles that attach to a hydration belt. In the winter instead of wearing the belt I just tucked the bottles into the inside pockets of one of my inner jacket layers, so they were closer to my body and didn't freeze as quickly. Rather than looking like I was carrying a water bottle, I just looked a little chunkier. :) So, if someone is layered for the cold you never know if they have water on them or not. :)
