Running pants advice?
I can't seem to find any running pants that fit me really well. Anyone have any favorites? I'm very short at 5'0'', which causes the most problems. I don't want to have to alter pants unless absolutely necessary. I plan on using them only for running purposes... so, any suggestions? Thanks.
I got some Danskin brand stretchy pants at Walmart that I love, and they are capri length, so that shouldn't be a problem being too long on you. I love that they have a little pocket sewn to the inside for your ipod.
Thanks... I just might give that a shot! Capri pants would probably work perfect for me. Wonder why I never thought of that?
My suggestion would be to try just regular legging type pants that are stretchy and fitted. You can get those at walmart for 5-8$ a pair. Or go to a store like TJ Max or other discount store and they usually have a couple of racks of different running type clothes.
Stretchy and fitted? Ouch... I don't usually like those words! I'll try anything at this point. Thanks!
I got my running pants at Wal-mart too!! I highly recommend them... I have Danskin pants and some plain black stretchy, fitted pants... check them out, they are the best of all the superstores!

heehee, I know what you mean - but really, that's what you need, it helps eliminate chafing from thigh rub (if that's an issue for you - I know I could start a fire if I wasn't careful
). That's the same reason I prefer the slippery workout material. The knit/tshirt material type leggings pill up.
My solution to cover what you don't want seen was to buy the really cheap MENS shirts at walmart to jog in, cause men's shirts are longer and cover more.

I have the pants you're talking about, and the chafing thing is the whole reason I bought them. But they're really stretchy so they don't get in the way when I do yoga.
I have a few big baggy t-shirts that I reserve for working out, because they're long enough to cover everything up. :)
I wear shorts over the spandex pants. it looks a little silly, but works fine to cover the areas of the leg you don't want seen. I can't work out in over sized clothes, i feel bogged down.
I have nike pants that are not too long and i love them
Okay... so apparently I need to go to Walmart! LOL. Thanks you guys for the advice. I'll let you know what I find!

Check out my picture - I ran a race dressed like that! There were others wearing the same shorts over tights gear as well. I don't care if some thinks that looks silly. That's their problem, not mine (or ours!
).
You look stunning! I don't think I'll have a problem wearing any pants that fit. I peeked at your profile and wanted to say that you have done an amazing job! Keep up the good work! I hope I can be as successful in my goals as you are with yours.
Columbia and Ladies Footlocker sell pants in petite sizes. I'm also 5'0", so I know how hard they are to find. Good luck. Maybe I'll have to go to Walmart too:)
