Ruth Chris resturant calories?
Hey!
Does anyone have a link to where I can find the calorie count for "Ruth Chris" resturants?
It's not on their website.
Thanks!

Nope, but my friend, if you are going to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.. do yourself a favor and don't count for the day.
And take me.
*laugh* and take distracted ;) Pay for him too ;)
they don't want you to know...
but here is what you need to know - whatever you order, tell them you want it prepared "dry" -- this means they will not pour butter over it before they finish it in their 1800 degree broiler.
I've gotten the petit filet there and if you request it dry, you can count it just as any 5 oz petit filet.
all the side items you have to order a la carte, the broiled tomato is probably the healthiest... salads with vinaigrette on the side would be OK... the loaded potato is a meal for two unto itself!
main thing - just beware of the butter - they use it liberally - make sure you ask them to help you avoid the butter
and have a great time, the steak is excellent even without the butter...

Maybe l'll just eat the meat and forget the side dishes?

*nod* there's one in DC. It was a very nice place. Enjoy yourself. Drink LOTS of water today. Make sure to exercise too, if you do that! :)
Have a great dinner! :)

they have great sashmi tuna on their appetizer menu- that plus a salad is definitely a meal.
PS... however, I am sure you are going there for the steak! My husband picks on me about that :).
Yeah I'll definately be going there for the beef! It's whats for dinner!
At least this evening it is;)

I'll take the Ahi Tuna Stack and a slice of the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake, please.
We go about once a year, and I've never even attempted to ponder the calories consumed. We usually end up eating nothing else that day, though.

I am going to Ruth's Chris tomorrow night (3/31) and will get the petite filet (on here I found Market Day brand filet and planned on logging it as that).
Does sound about right?

I don't want to kid myself underestimating.
Also, I would like to try the broiled tomatoe, per nomo's suggestion, but have NO idea how to log that.
Please help :)
I am guessing dessert would be out of the question...(I am aiming for 1300 calories for the day, but I KNOW I will surpass that.)
I DO plan on going to the gym in the morning though :)
Thanks for any suggestions!

Should be pretty close if you ask them not to butter it.
Thank you, shavenyak.
I just need to figure out what else I can "safely" eat to go with it :)

Hey mcderin --
Cant wait to hear how it went!!!
Cant wait to hear how it went!!!
I decided to NOT worry about calories and such, and it was great.
I didn't even gain!
I had the filet (in butter!) cooked medium.
I had the pecan crusted sweet potatoes and sauteed mushrooms for sides.
for an appetizer we had crabmeat stuffed mushroom caps.
And, I even had dessert - apple caramel tart.
So, I was prepared to gain, and figured it would spark some movement out of my 10 day plateau, but no such luck, EITHER way on the scale.
Today it's back to good eating (well, good FOR you eating; since that was GREAT eating :), and exercise.
Cross your fingers that this week I break free of the plateau.
Thanks for the ideas and input though :)
Have a great day.
