Biggest Motivating Factor(s): trying to get to my IBW for height, improved health and a sexier bod. I like to act in community theater and want roles other than the "middle age fat guy". I look about 10-20 years younger than I am. The next production comming up is "Guys and Dolls" (auditions in November) and I'd like to be considered for one of the leads.
Biggest struggle(s): I've made good progress since April (down 43 pounds) but I've hit a platau for the past month

Biggest Motivating Factor(s): I want to look like my old self. I miss my flat stomach and how I looked in jeans. lol Mostly though I want to set a good example to my kids by taking care of my health. AND HAVE MORE ENERGY!
Biggest struggle(s): Trying to stick to my diet when eating out. Also meal time at home. I have to fix two meals (a pain). Mine and then my family's. My husband and kids are not interested in my "rabbit food" as my hubby calls it.lol
Miscellaneous Weight Loss Tips: I try to keep it different. One day walking and jogging, next on my bike, next circuit..also weight lifting...I found if I mix it up, I stay interested. I have a tendancy to get bored with it. Also exercising to my fav songs helps keeps me movin fast. Good luck ev1!

Biggest struggle(s): energy. I can control my food intake and count my calories but i have no energy whatsoever to do the workouts i have planned. Am currently forcing myself back into the gym doing the C25K again. (on week 2 right now) and doing circuit training.

Hope everyone has a good week. I went for a really hard swim this morning and felt good for it. Am hoping it pays off on my weigh-in later!
I went out for Happy Hour and a movie last night with my friend and had half a beer (hefeweizen), some nachos (about 1/5 of a huge plate) and half a pulled pork sandwich :(
Hurray - had my weigh in at the club - 4lbs lost in two weeks - that is my best ever!
That must work as an incentive to keep me away from cake and beer!

Newlook: Yea you're right our stats are pretty similar. Congrats for the 4lb loss thats awesome..
Last night I hit the gym and did 45 min on the cybex and then a weight circuit. It felt soo good to get back in the gym and do a killer workout. I still just have to convince the boyfriend to come with me, its so much more fun lifting with him (and harder). my polar heartmonitor showed a burn of 685 cal for the workout. awesome.

Dragonfly - your workout sounds tough - I am impressed.
I am the same with my boyf, he's happy to drop me off at the gym but getting him in there is another matter!
Okay I've never really posted on a forum before but maybe this will help me be honest.

Biggest Motivating Factor(s): Not having to hear that I need to lose weight and of course fitting into all the clothes I can't wear any more
Biggest struggle(s): Actually sticking to a food plan and steady workout. I tend to be good weekdays and totally blow off weekends.
Newlook: Yea it was a tough workout but i am kinda disappointed that I am not sore at all today. I did some pretty heavy lifting. I dont feel like I get that much out of it if I am not sore the next day.
Tomorrow I work out with the trainer doing Kettlebells. That always kicks my butt even with just a half hour. sadly tuesdays and thursdays i cant workout because i work from 8am till 10pm with a 1hr drive to work in the morning and another hr between both jobs.. someday i hopefully wont have to work crazy hours.
what kind of workouts is everyone else doing? anything fun? :)
Had my session with my trainer this morning and have pull something in my back! Damn :-( really hurts and just knwo that means a few days off gym.

My trainer canceled on me :( so i went on my own and did half hour of cardio and another half hour heavy weight circuit.. Felt so good.!
Newlook: ouchie on pulling your back. you gotta rest it so you can get back in and workout. I did the same thing last friday. Laying on icepacks helped a ton.
