170's Club

I thought I would create a separate topic for the 170's club.  Anyone who would like to be apart of it feel free. 

Okay I am current 172.2 at 5'5" this morning.  I haven't taken my measurements in a long time but I will as soon as I get back to NC.

My goal weight currently is 150.  This may change after my Breast Reduction, but for now that is what I am shooting for.  I make continue with this goal, even after so that I don't feel as though I have so much to go.   

When I am home I keep my calorie intake between 1200-1400 calories and I did at least some mild cardio everyday right in from of my trusty old television. Now that I am in Texas, my mom doesn't have cable, so I had to join a gym for a month til I get back home.  So I try to get there at least three times a wk.  But my two children keep me active.  I have posted a picture of them to my profile.  Check out my angels : 0.

HI Maufreem.... Yep I fit the 170's profile

5'7" currently 177lbs... Short term Goal 160 by June 1st. Not sure how thats going to pan out as I dont seem to be going anywhere for about the last two weeks. I work out at the gym atleast 4 times a week, ount calories, doing the ab challenge.

I saw your kids pictures. Cute adorable little things arent they?

I see you have an appointment scheduled with a doc.. wonder if when you get that done you'll be below us... less then 170 *wink*

I really blew it today... pissed, stressed I didnt eat unti about 1:30 and then I ate 1300+ calories worth of Farfalle pasta with feta, artichokes, black olives, onions and tomatos. My weakness. I guess I have emotional food issues... when I am mad I cant eat, but when I finally do, I go whole hog. I have to watch that.

I havent eaten anything since, but I should eat lightly for the rest of the night. Maybe yogurt and granola, some fruit.... I think I'll keep it under 1500 today to make me feel a  little better about all that pasta.
hey, i'm just out of the 170's (165-167 for the last couple of weeks) but that's where i started (172 in january) and my goal is 150-155 and my calorie intake is about the same, 1200-1300.
congrats kist! Maybe you should start a 160's club. Then I'll have some place to go if I get out of here.

I'd join the 170's club, but I broke it this week. I'm under 170lbs for the first time in about 10 years.
Thanks guys, I think they are pretty cute myself.   I am so hyped about my lifestyle change.  We could do a 160's-170's club that way it will give us a wider span for us to succeed and struggle together.  I am at 172.2, although I am not sure if a plateau will come between it and the 160's, I am closer to them, and I want this to be an ongoing thing.

We can do this together.
hey guys can i going too? a few days ago i was 178 but i started my period (sorry if too much info) and now i'm 180 for now. hopefully i'll be back down in a day or too. my goal is 145 by september. hopefully i'll get there!
I was at 180lbs and SLOWLY..( Coz Im hopless at eating right) I have lost weight..I skip the work outs, I binge, I live on carbs.."Is there a point to this?" I hear you cry. YES!! There is..its..what was it again?..OH YES TODAY I lost my 36th lb am now at 144lbs. "The point!!? the point!!?" The crowd is in a frenzy...The point is..If I can get from 180 to 144 in 6 months with my poor habits than ANYONE can. The secret I have found is trying every day.. If you fail it doesn't matter keep going and you will lose the weight! Dont beat yourself up ..It does get harder the more you lose..the plateus come hard and fast..My last one ...I gained and lost the same 3 lbs for 3 WEEKS!! from 145.5 to 148.5 3 times!! But I broke with alot of support from you lot and Here I stand before you a size 8, down from 18. (Its a kind of squishy spongy size 8..like pouring a pint of jello into a shot glass size 8) BUT a size 8 none the less!

And lacirrom OMGOSH..You are wicked...congratz on losing60lbs already You are an inspiration!!! Kudos to your sister aswell...you are both amazing!!
I'm in! I'm out! I'm in! I'm out! Ok, well, for the next while I think I am in, and happy to have such good company as we all work on moving to new numbers.

I just can't seem to leave the 170s behind me. I started this site at 180, on a very bad week of the month to start, then had walking pneumonia and lost my appetite so the first 8-9 lbs were easy. Now I am feeling better and the appetite has returned, and I am bouncing up and down around 170 by 2-3 pounds, sometimes 168, sometimes 173.  I am aiming for 140 or so in the long run.
Did really well so far today. I went to the gym and burned 524 calories, plan on doing my crunch work, although I did 200 crunches at the gym. So add another 374 cals for that half hour for 898 extra calories burned.. I've eaten 780 calories so far today, so staying under 1600 should be a breeze. With my normal expenditure of 2100 and extra of 898 for a total of 2998 less planned 1600=1398 deficit... Not too shabby. PMS keep the scale the same 177. Oh well, next week maybe.
174 here on my way to 150 hopefully. I have been stuck here all week. I did extra cardio today and was goign to lift weights, until they closed the school because of severe weather and I had to go get my kids. 

I hope not to be in this club long, hahahaha
Yeah, it seems like that when you reach this point, no matter how far you have come, your body just not want to let go.  My weight have been flutuating this week 172.2-173.0.  It is putting up a good fight but I will win and so can the rest of you.  If we just stick to it good will prevail. 

I have done really well so far. Only 800 calories so fat today.  Not much protien so I will try to spend the remainder of my calories on lean meat. I didn't go to the gym today, but I did spend two hours chasing my daughter around chuck e cheese.  I will dance around in the garage for an hour to the radio and do some ab work later on tonight.

Have my preop appointment in a week and I am kinda scared, but excited all at the sam time about the up coming surgery, so I will keep you all posted.  Maybe I should search for some light exercise to do while I am in recovery, since I will have to slow down for a while.  Any suggestions?
Just left the 170's club am now at 168, I was so happy this morning, now watch I will be back up tomorrow morning.  It sounds like we all have the same problem with the 170's.  I am aiming for 150 for now might go lower once I get there but for now 150 is good to aim for.  My daughter told me today she thought I was 140 unfortunately she was talking long distance or I would have kissed her.

I was jsut reading another post and I was thinking it was a great idea to set rewards for the goals we reach.  So I will go first.

When I reach 165, I am going to I a few pairs new pants.  I  have been giving away all my pants because I could no longer fit.

At 160 my husband is going to treat me to a romantic weekend

At 155 I am going out to buy that little black dress, but if I reach my goal before the Marine Corps Ball, the dress will be a formal.

At 150, I will go shopping for a new wardrobe.  my is already getting skimpy for giving away the clothes I can no longer fit.

Congratulations, on your accomplishments.  This club will stick together to we all reach our goal.  170's is just a meeting place for our journey.  When everyone passes the 170's mark we can call it the group formerly know as 170's club, and so on.

I started at 171, have done absolutely NOTHING to lose weight (Its been a bad week) but its time to get serious!! I am currently 170 lbs and 5'8. Goal is 140. I am obviously watching my cals, doing slimfast for breakfast and slimfast with a salad, or tuna, or something of the sort for lunches. Creamy chocolate slim fast mix is soooo good I feel like Im cheating!!!

 Id love to have a little cheerleading group for all of us that we can post to each day! I think it's a fantastic idea!!
I'm not rewarding myself until I get to 155, thats my 1/2 way mark!! Im going to go all out with my hair, get a new style and highlights etc. Ive always had my hair done but stop highlighting it while preg, son is now 6 months old so Id like to start pampering myself again!! And when Im @ 140, we're TTC our 3rd and  last child!
Ok me AGAIN lol!! Wednesday's my weigh day but after reading this thread I decided to step on the scale......

168.4!!! Im so excited!!! I vow to never ever be in the 170's again (Unless Im w/ child :p~ )
Still holding, I pray I am down 2 more pounds by Saturday.  Big family gathering.  Do you think if I drink 10 glasses of wter instead of 8 it will help flush things out??
I do not know what is going on with me this week, I am staying within my range with the right foods and water.  My body is really fighting back cause my weight keeps fluctuating.  I can understand plateau, but the wave is making me sick.  Maybe it is just my body shaking off the fat mentality. 

Look a here, you body of mine, I don't know what is up with you, and I am sure you are more than confused, but what is going on now will go on for the rest of our life.  So you might as well tell your fat buddy to move out cause she is no longer welcome here.  Oh and tell your friend that condersider this her notice, The new tenant, Le An MussleAn Health is moving in permanently.  And trust me fat can have her deposit back, it has been stored in my belly flab pocket for years.  : ?

It looks like I am leaving the 170's club too. I weighed in this morning at 168. Helloooo 160's club. :-D
