Hello Karey - Welcome to the 180's club!  I've struggled with my weight since high school, so we must have similar goals.  To see 143 lb, I'd be ecstatic.  Heck... I was ecstatic when I found out that I got DOWN to 181.  Good luck here!

Dccd - Sorry about your bunny... go ahead and mourn for your bunny.  I recall when the cat died a few years back, and it was surreal to realize how emotionally attached I could have gotten to a small cat.  She died at 13, so I see where it was.  And I agree with you that i don't think it should ever be "too late" to join groups.

I thought I would update everyone on my illness.  I'm still at 181 LB (woot), and I found out I have bronchitis.  I got some medicine for it, which has me loopy but on the road to recovery.  I'll miss the hasty weight loss, but at least I'll feel better.  Okay... sleepy time...  And thank you all for your support.
Thanks for the welcome.  Yeah, I will definitely be ecstatic if I can get to my 143.  I think I'll be ecstatic when i get into the 170's!  I'm a little bummed though because we just bought a new scale today and it says I weigh 186!  I thought I was at 181 when I started, according to my other scale.  I guess I have more to lose now than I thought.  I hope you feel better soon, leopardrayne!!

That is 4 lbs in one week... I don't think it is all real. I mean did you REALLY eat Over 14,000 calories Beyond what you need?

Welcome to the group!  Don't worry to much about your scale, at the doctors I weigh like 5lbs more...   My Goal is 175-178.  I started at 201.

Oh... If I didn't know any better I would say I was really sick, just a touch of a cough but this last weekend has been nothing but SLEEP!  Slept through my Paqua on Saturday, and through practice on Sunday.  3pm to this morning!  Boy.

I might be a bit depressed.  I sleep alot when I am depressed.  Probably just because I had such a rough month last month, now that everything is going SO well I am a bit disorientated.  Like how you don't really get sick untill you are off the rollercoster.

That and I suppose I feeling a bit alone... you know single and all.   That and when did I turn 29?  Wasn't I JUST 27?  :)  Well... Just that much closer to being a 2nd black.  I wish I had that Eliptical NOW.  I want to start training for Gloved sparring but that is this Saturday, my Goodness!  Still though 2nd black, pretty damn sexy. 

There is a guy who works over at the 711 ... oh... he's pretty.  I know last thing I need is a guy who works at 711.  But I think he might own it.  I was listening to a conversation between him and a lady who also worked their... if he doesn't own it he is the manager.  lol  I have a crush on the 711 guy.  Dear lord!

hey all, I go between 182 and 187 within any week I feel like... I have 2 goals at the moment, get to 170 - by end of April with an ultimate goal of 135-145 - no date set on that... just starting out and trying to find my groove.

Lol...oh man, birthday parties ruin everything.

I was 181.4 this morning.

That's like, a 5 pound weekend gain. I'm sure tons of it is salt, because of the pizza, and my bf% did go down to 32% (worked out pretty hard on Friday), but I know I did gain some real weight in there.

Oh well, back to the grind!! I'm going to buy myself a black one piece, and see about going swimming at the 24 hour fitness like twice a week ontop of trying to do at least 3 weight work outs sessions (with the normal cardio warm up).

I think I eat alright most of the time. I think it's my lack of normal exercise that screws me up. Poo.

Karey - don't worry about 186.  A number is just a number.  Just keep motivated and the pounds will peel right off.  It's good that you have a new scale though. It's the real number.

Lilsmiter - two posts?  189.6!  Congrats!  Good job on staying off the fast food and dessert!  You can do it!  And no, you can't have my bronchitis.  It's not worth the weight loss.  I'm weak and my body is going to be on starvation mode for the next two or three weeks while I try to replenish my body.  I do feel much better, though.  The good medications are actually giving me somewhat of an appetite (although all I've eaten today are two pears and a serving of oatmeal)

But what can I say?  I slept on and off until about 7 tonight, then turned on the television and had oatmeal.  I'm doing laundry tonight and then I'm going to go back to sleep, probably.

I'm 180.0 and 33% bf this morning. Worked out something fierce last night, and I think my BF is buying me an ipod for my b-day, so I'll have something to help me drive on while I work out.

YES. I WILL get to 175 again. Then to 170...and 165...hehe!

Lilsmiter - Sorry about the fast food binge.  Just when you drive there, stop and ask yourself if you really want to put that nasty food into your body.  You'll sit there and realize... "Nah... I have better food elsewhere."  Also, my suggestion is to bring a granola bar or some type of snack to leave in the car to help you out.

Nasuoni - I'm even with you on the scale.  I don't know how much bf I have right now, but I could calculate it.  I assume I lost some muscle being off my feet and sick, but I probably lost some fat as well.  I'm at 180.1 lb.


And everyone - focus on your blessings!  Long as we focus on what's good, we can feel better about ourselves.  I feel great that I went from 187 to 180.1 lb in five days.

I made my goal for February (182 lb), which I would not have made without the flu.  But my next goal is 178 by March 8th.  That's 20 pounds in 2 months.

i know i havent been on for a while, been avoiding CC as i know I have not been on track as i should have been, gained 4 lbs but as I was still eating under my maintenace cals it must be water weight ( i diod eat a ton of salt the past 2 days)

so back today, all motivated and stuff so gonna lose it again!!

Glad to see you back. I am also guilty of avoiding logging when I know I've been off track, but this group helps me to get back at it.

Leo- congrats on keeping off some (or most?) of the weight loss from being sick. :) It's not the way you'd choose to lose but you'll take it right? I would!

Lilsmiter- I'm a binger too...I've gone a week or so, day at a time right. I've also given myself a little room to have some chocolates or something when I want them, as long as I'm not eating the entire bag. :)

Anyway, I'm so happy - 182 today!!  Yea!! 

Slowly but surely we will succeed!! My goal is to be in the 170s by March, 160s by end of April/Mayish, and 150s by July.  Ok, now that I've written them down so specifically maybe I'll do it!!  :)
179.4 - hello 7's!!!!

I got up, moved to the scale, and wondered if I lost anything, since yesterday was the first time I had a real meal.  And I'm down another full pound!  Yippee!

Welcome back, Zulu - I think that if you take care of yourself, those 4 pounds will drop fast.  If you gained them fast, I'm sure you'll lose them fast.

Dccd - Absolutely right on that.  It's not the way to choose to lose weight but I'm definitely happy with the results.  Though... I don't think it's healthy to lose 8 pounds in 7 days...  Ah well, it'll catch up with me. I have a lot of water to drink.

You all are the real support I need to get back to the healthy-choices attitude, rather than the... "scrounge up enough calories so your body doesn't starve itself."

DccD I never would have considered myself a binger...

But I think you are right.  Ya I have a jar of chocolate Truffles at my desk, I have one a day (if that) so I don't loose my mind.  They don't count as anything.

I was hoping to have my Treadmill by Friday, but maybe next week.  We'll See... hey atleast it's something... They guy that was going to sell me the Eliptical... lol Lost it.  So I am getting a treadmill instead.

I'm going to go exercise again tonight, and I'm hoping to do more than I did on Monday.

I made spaghetti squash last night. OMG, that stuff is BRILLIANT. Tastes enough like spaghetti and feels like (soft but slightly firm), that I could totally replace all my spaghetti in all my dishes with this stuff.

Two full cups is only like, 80-90 calories. Holy crap I'm in love <3 

 

Lilsmiter---I'm sorry if I offended you!!  :)  I didn't mean to "classify" you as a binger from a binge (or fast food OR dessert!!).  I guess I am meaning that I *know* I tend to be a binger, and I can understand the feelings before, during, and after them. :)  Again, nothing more was meant by that comment. I apologize.

Also I think you will like the treadmill at home, I love mine, and I tend to use it a lot because I can convince myself to do it even when I don't want to workout at all. I get on telling myself I'm "just walking not working out" -- then I end up doing an incline at some point during it or jogging a bit. With an eliptical, there's no kidding yourself into thinking you aren't working out! :)

Leo-- WOW!!  The 7's are something I can't wait to see again!!!  Good for you!
Hello everyone -

I didn't realize how many calories coughing really burns.  Of course I love losing weight quickly but I can feel the effects of not eating very much.  I think I made it up to 1000 calories, but it feels like torture to try to get in much more.  I'm slowly adding calories into my diet to not "scare" my body.  Today is the 1100 day, so if I can hit 1100 calories, then I'll have made a goal for today.  Tomorrow I'm going up to 1200... and so on... until I make it back to my 1300 - 1500 days.  This weekend I'll be eating a bit more because my friend usually pays for all but one meal, and we usually eat out.  But he knows I don't have any cash atm so he's going to take care of all the meals this time.

Lilsmiter - *makes a guilty face for losing weight so fast* I'm just trying to live. I'm not trying to lose weight at a scary rate.  I'm just checking my scale every day or few days and seeing a drop.

Nasuoni - Hm... I'll have to try it.  My dad loves squash and we always have different types in a stir fry or in a casserole.  Maybe I'll try spaghetti squash.
