I'm 8.4 lbs away from my goal...  I'll probably still go a little lower once I get there.

Hi all,

Oh dear seem to be still stuck in a biscuit addition this week! However, did a good session today and yesterday at the gym. So fingers crossed won't have done too much damage!

What are your best solutions to biscuit and cake cravings? Other than giving in to them of course!

k9stylist - What was your goal date? Or you didn't have one?

I have no clue what to do about those cravings. Try to drink more water maybe.

 

Biscuit and cake cravings? I can't tell you that.  There's half a cake next to me asking to be eaten.  I would have to say that your body wants you to maintain a balance in your eating.  Have you been eating "enough" starchy carbohydrates? I hardly eat them, but I don't get those cravings anymore.  I used to get carb cravings, but it wasn't from carbohydrates.  It was just from dieting in general.  My body's like... I can't believe you're making me make do with 1500 Calories.  Are you nuts?  Right now the body silently sulks (and shrinks) as I give it a 700 - 1000 deficit daily.

*wanted to answer this question too* My goal date isn't a set day, but I consider it "a reasonable amount of time".  I don't want to lose all this weight in two days, but I don't want to "not" have a goal and say, "I have hte rest of my life" to lose weight.

163.4 this morning.  Almost wrote 153 in a typo, and would have probably flipped out if that was the case.  I'm really longing to see the "5" in the 10's place, it's like I can taste it.  It's a big change for me.

momof2funykds~ I just let cc set the goal date when I started, so as of right now it's August 30th.  It'd be nice if I could do it by August 8th because that's my 5 year wedding anniversary, but I'll take what I can get.  I'm hoping to go to New York in September around my birthday, so by that time I should have met my goal & maybe I can go shopping there, which would be a lot of fun... I love clothes shopping now.  =)

Leo~ Hang in there, you are very close to seeing a "5"!  You'll be there in no time.

163.2 today.

170.8 this morning. Even considering it's TTOM for me, I'm eating really well. My sodium's been about 2,300 mg a day, calories around 1,600 a day, exercising to burn about 300 a day. And I've been in a great mood since I upped my water intake and exercised more. I'm pretty sure I'll be rid of the other .80 of the pound before next week Laughing

leopardrayne- Congrats on being 163 Laughing That's awesome! I think you'll be seeing that 5 pretty soon!

Just wanted to say Happy 4th of July! 

No weigh in today....went to a parade. My dd danced in it with the group she dances with. It's a very long parade and such a huge deal around here. It lasted 2 1/2 hrs!  No cook out today bc it rained off and on all day. Funny how it stopped raining during the parade! lol  :D Fireworks tonight. DH bought some to set off. Can't wait til it's dark out!!! :D

The parade sounds like fun!  I have to work all weekend... we're slammed this weekend because of the holiday!  We have over 90 dogs in right now and I have 13 scheduled for baths/grooms, etc tomorrow, a bunch to wash on Sunday, and Monday morning before they go home.  Busy, busy, busy.  No time for bbq's or fireworks, time to make some $$$ (and burn a lot of calories).  =)

K9stylist - you're slammed, and I'm slammed.  I just hope tomorrow while I'm at the restaurant, everyone stays home and eats leftovers.  I know it will not be the case, but can't hurt to hope.

Still 163ish, and REALLY REALLY wanting to see a change.

My son fell asleep early last night, so we put off the fireworks!  Will get them done tonight though. He was really tired from getting up so early for the parade, then hanging out with friends for a while. I'm glad he got some much needed rest. Now I'm really anxious to set off those fireworks! :D

Had a good weigh in this morning. 178!  I want to see that 177 again!  Gosh! Maybe for my "official" weigh in on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed for that one! :)

am back at the gym this week - it nearly killed me today after four days off! Really want to get into the 170s (I wish).

Hi everyone!! Hope everyone had a nice 4th holiday!  We went and watched fireworks 2 nights in a row. I been at my folks in Wisconsin all week, and my sister (lives in Missouri) got to come with her husband and son too, so it was really a good time. My brother came too, but he only lives about 20 minutes from me, so I see him a little more often.

My hubby and I put a down payment on a nice pontoon boat, and we got it last week.. My folks live on a small lake, so we will keep it there most of the time- its about  a 2.5 hour drive. We had a great time this weekend trying out the boat, and doing some fishing.. the kids just love it.

Being away with the family hasnt been very good for my dieting and exercise efforts. I tried to eat good this past week, but I know I went way over in calories just about everyday! Havent gotten much for exercise in either. I did do quite a workout this morning, and I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow. I weighed at 170.8 this morning.. I got a new scale too- its a healthometer. Hopefully I will find my motivation this week and really plug away at exercise and eating better.. I want to see that weight drop!!

Is it too late to join your 180's club?  I just joined cc today.  I found it online by accident.  By calculation I have found out my ideal weight is 135.  I am 5'5 and weigh 189.  I am turning 50 October 20th and I want to be "fit by 50".  I am sure I probably won't lose all of my weight by then, but I do want to be well on my way.  I work for a physical therapy group, so I get to work out with a trainer twice a week, but my eating habits are horrible.  The worse thing is a year ago I weighed 170.  I know the right things to eat, I just quit eating them.  I just bought a wii, just so I could work out with wii fit.  It really is a lot of fun, just not at 5:00 a.m.  Do ya'll weigh everyday?  (I'm from GA, can you tell)? LOL  Any hints or advice anyone wants to give me, I will sure appreciate it.  

 

 

 

Welcome ro50bin! I just post my weight whenever I want. I weigh myself "officially" on Mondays. Everyone has different weigh in days though. I have a bad habit of getting on the scale way too much and I'm trying to stop it.

I hear the Wii Fit is great. Alot of people love it.

The last 2 days I've had BAD days eating! My stepdd came to visit for the 1st time to stay the night and we were pigging out big time! Ya know, bonding! :D Anyways, I ate strawberry shortcake I made from scratch. So yummy, but too many calories to mention. I had 2! One Monday and one on Tuesday. Then we ate tortilla chips and salsa! I didn't have many of those. Mainly bc my stomach was hurting from the sweet strawberry shortcake!

I have to get back to the gym. Only have gone Sunday bc my back was hurting today from the leg lifts I was doing Sunday. I'm definitely going tomorrow to work off some of this sweet stuff I ate.

I haven't been on for awhile, I've been really bad about logging my stuff.  I am up and down like a yo-yo.  I try really hard to eat right and at least use my ab-roller in the a.m.!  At this point I am 186 :(   My goal is 140.  At 39 my metabolism just isn't what it used to be and my sciatic nerve is preventing me from doing more activity than I am. (does that sound like an old woman or what???!)  I try to only weigh once a week (Fri) but that is pretty futile because like many others I just can't resist getting on the scale daily, sometimes several times a day!!  I need to get back into logging all my stuff and posting here more often, I did much better when I was doing that.

Congrats to everyone who is losing!!!

A cross trainer!!! Cool Seriously I am so excited! Since I can't get out to exercise in the evenings after work (I am on my own with my little boy right now) this is going to be fab. I love going on the cross trainer, it was the only thing I really enjoyed doing at the gym.

Hi to all! Welcome ro50bin! I have the wii fit too, and I just love it! My kids really like it too. Thats great that you'll be able to have a trainer twice a week- that should help alot!

momof2funykds, yumm! that cake sounds delish! I've been pretty bad last week too. Ate to many goodies at mom and dad's house.. o well, back to eating right and tracking everything!

petchy, thats great, you getting yourself a crosstrainer. That should be a good thing for you, not being able to get out much.

I weighed this morning at 168.4! Maybe I had extra water weight from not eating the best last week. I think I drank over a gallon of water yesterday. I am kind of sore today, getting back to exercise again.. I just got the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd, and man, she really kicks your butt! I can barely get through her level 1- I havent dared tried level 2 or 3 yet.. jeez, i must be so out of shape!
