hi momof2funykids!!! It sounds like your doing great!! Good for you!! I have been really good for most of the time, haven't been around much, overworked like everyone else. You know I always thought chicken fajitas were good for you-well they are packed with calories I found out today after it was too late. Oh well, more exercise. Have a great week!!
Hi k9stylist!!! I love yoga as well! I also like the balance games-they help alot. I also do step, but yoga is my favorite. I would have never thought a tv game could do so much. I really like this website, it is so nice to be able to talk with people who have so much in common. Do you have pets? I have a female half akita half chow. She weighs about 104, and does not know she is a dog. Anyway back to the diet, I have been doing really well until I ate a chicken fajita, if I had left off the tortilla I probably would have been allright. Oh well, I work out tomorrow evening with the trainer and wii in the morning. And now I know better. Have a great week!!!!!
ro50bin - chicken fajitas are good, but bad for you! they are also loaded with sodium. Now you know! I've made several mistakes like that. It's funny how you think something is good for you until you actually look it up. Then.....OUCH! By the way, I was wondering where you were! I was hoping you'd be back! :D I'll answer your question too tht you asked k9stylist. I use to have a pug/chiuahuah mix. The cutest thing you'd ever see. She was adorable! I loved her to death. And she was the easiest dog to train. From housebreaking her to teaching her to do tricks. I had to give her up when my back got bad bc I couldn't take care of her. She loved being walked and I got to the point where I wasn't able to walk for 2 yrs any further than 50 feet, if that on some days. I felt so bad for her bc she'd sit at the door and want to be walked and noone would walk her. :( So I did the unselfish thing, and gave her to a family who would treat her as I did. I cried for weeks!
well, be back tomorrow!
ro50bin~ Hi! Yay, another yoga lover! It's great, isn't it? I think I've really started toning my body some, it really does help. I just went shopping because people were starting to comment on how my pants were too big for me, so I had to go down a couple sizes again... now I'm in a size 6!!! yay! I'm so happy about that. I can't remember when I've ever been that size. Hopefully I'll be able to get into a bikini before too long... I hope. :) Wow, half akita, half chow = TONS of hair!! I'm a groomer (as you could probably assume from my name) and that has to be one hairy dog! Do you have any pics? Yes, I do have pets... I have a shorthair cat named Izzy and a German Shepherd x named Mya (pics in profile). I actually just got to pick up my dog this morning... she had the TPLO knee surgery yesterday and I was worried sick. I'm so glad I got my baby back, but I feel so bad for her... her leg looks all bruised and swollen. She's got months of recovery ahead of her and she's on a ton of meds right now! It should be worth it in the end though because she can have a normal & active life again after recovery (she's only 3). :)
momof2~ Pug/chihuahua mix must have been cute! Did it have the pug face & curly tail? I admire you for thinking of your pet and giving her a good home. :)
164 still, and have been around here since the end of June. I think it's safe to call it a plateau now. :-(. I saw a 162.4 around the 28th of June and since then... blah. Oh well.
I know I'm going to see a loss after the totm, because I'm bloated right now and neither losing nor gaining. I'm hoping for a good... 2 or more pound drop, eh?
Leo~ Sorry about the plateau, that sucks! Have you tried zig zagging your calories yet? I've heard it works for some, but I haven't had a plateau yet (knock on wood) so I haven't tried it yet. If I get one, that's what I'm going to try.
Speaking of totm, I haven't had one in quite awhile... it's all messed up. I know I'm not pregnant, so I'll just say that before anyone suggests it. I'm pretty sure it's because of my weightloss/diet. It's been lighter than usual and a little shorter too since I've started dieting (not that I mind). Anyone else having any issues with theirs?
Just got back from shopping at Old Navy... I bought the cutest little gray shorts (they're much shorter than the ones I normally buy) and a really cute little black ruffly knit skirt. And.......... I bought a swimsuit!! They were 50% off and I've been thinking of getting one pretty soon... so, I did. It's a two piece with a black bikini top and black boyshort bottoms. I plan on probably wearing the cute black knit skirt I bought to cover up the bottoms while walking on the beach. Hopefully I can pull it off. :P
I just realized.... I'm becoming a shopping fiend now!!! ![]()
169.6 this morning, which brought a big smile to my face. Yesterday we went out to eat, and I thought I had ordered something healthy but as very mistaken (I ater hakf a turkey burger- that half had about 500 calories
). But no gain! I'm really thrilled.
Hope you are all doing well!
I'm going to pack my scale up and put it in the "To Home" box. On July 31st I'm going to be moving back to my parents house for all of three weeks, and I may as well just put it at the top of my To-Home box and forget about it. And tomorrow morning if I get up early enough, I'm going to do full-body measurements and see what changes in the next two weeks as I work out (everyday if possible!) and eat healthily.
Leo~ It's such a pain when periods get messed up, isn't it? At least I'm not alone in that... Yay, you got new clothes too! I love getting new clothes now! It used to be depressing, but now I enjoy it way too much. Yes, labels do lie! I tried on several different brands of jeans today and they all fit differently, but were supposedly the same size. Thanks for the words of encouragement on the bikini. :P Maybe packing up your scale & measuring instead will show you that you're losing inches & toning up some. Weight is only a number after all... if you're working out you're probably gaining more muscle instead, which supposedly weights more.
hi everyone! How is everyone doing? I went for a walk today. 4 miles. The last mile was real hard on my leg. I thought I was going to have to call my daughter to pick me up. It was awful. However now it's slightly better after a pain pill. I hate taking those things. I did have a good 3 miles though. The hills didn't tire me out like they use to. so I know the gym is working and doing its job! :)
I went thru alittle stand still for a month and I had to change the things I was eating and had a couple cheat days and BAM! lost more weight!
I'm sooo bad!! I went shopping - again. I bought 2 new pairs of shorts (they're really cute!) and two tank tops to layer.... they're form fitting & I almost went back and got another size, but they're supposed to be that way and I'm always my worst critic, know what I mean?
Well, check back later... I'm in the middle of cleaning the house and I've got to ice up my dog's swollen (from surgery) leg. Then, I'm off to do some Wii Fit! :)
Just got back from swimming today
and I have a stupid question. I was in the water for about 4 hours total out of the 7 hours we were there, always moving, like waving my arms under water and kicking my legs, horsing around and jogging under water (silly, I know, but fun). I was in constant motion. Would I count that as leisure swimming? I was thinking about saying I only did 2 hours because it wasn't overly strenuous, but I'd like a second opinion.
I weigh in at 169.4 today. Oddly enough, I seem to be doing awesome when I throw in a couple cheat days rather than just one. Not that I'm complaining, but it seems backwards. Mmm, hotdogs...
Well, I'm off like a prom dress. Have a good day, all!
165.4 today! DAMN
Good morning everyone! I was just reading some other posts around the site and I have to say that some people have some very distorted and disturbing goals for their goal weights. Does 115lbs sound healthy for a person who is 5'6"??? I can't imagine that would be healthy. CC tells me that a healthy weight for me (almost 5'7") would be about 140 lbs. I may shoot for 135, depending how I look, but not lower than that... I don't want to look sick. I just want to look thin and be healthy.
momof2~ Do you know what post I'm speaking of? It's mostly the 5'6" one... I saw you posted on there also, but at least you're realistic and have healthy goals! :) Did you notice the same thing I did?
I've seen that too (unrealistic goals).
I'm 5'7.5" - and weigh 175.5 (down 9lbs since July 01) yay me.
My goal is 150.
CC said I should be 143.... I mean if I get there - great - but I'm a curvy girl with big boobs - just don't think that number would work for me.
k9 - I saw those numbers too! I think those are very young girls wanting that really skinny, unhealthy look! They think it's great to look like that. With their bones sticking out and looking like they haven't eaten in years. Not for me. I like being alittle "curvy" (as niccimax said).
CC has me being lower than 150, I just don't see it. I 4get what they said my weight should be, but I know it's lower than 150!
164.8 today. Up again. Frustrated!
Hi guys, I am back. ROUGH week at work, but hopefully next week will be better. I picked up another day of personal training this week, we have a group of 4 on MOndays and Wednesdays and 5 on Fridays. Hopefully this will kick my butt into a steady losing mode. I ate really good for most of the week and had a cheat day Friday, but then I worked out so maybe it will balance out. I hope everyone had a great week, waiting on weigh day Monday!!!!!
