hello! I'm sitting here waiting for my friend to pick me up to go to some yard sales. I love those things! Sometimes just to go and look at things.
I know we'll end up going to eat somewhere. Maybe a subway sub! Mmmmm And that won't blow my "diet" either! lol

Sounds fun momof2. There's a lot of them nearby but I fear I don't have the money nor the gas to run about and buy stuff. I would love to just take a day to do that.
Aunt Flo's monthly visit is lasting a little longer than I'd hoped. I have not been feeling so well in a few days because of her visit.
But... I'm headed back down to reasonable weight numbers - 163.4... If I could see 162.4 again, I'd have a party.
Worked from 8am-5:30 yesterday straight through w/out a break or lunch because I was so slammed. I was running on only 300-400 calories all day and was absolutely beat when I got home. We went to dinner at a pizza buffet since I figured I needed to consume a lot of calories anyways, what better way to do it than with a bunch of fattening pizza, lol. I figured if I was going to cheat sometime in the near future, that then was my best opportunity, so I did and now I feel guilty. I don't feel very well today either, probably all that fattening and greasy pizza from last night. Back on track today, but super hungry! We were on our way to the beach this morning, but my car broke down on the highway just outside of Daytona! We managed to get off the highway on the shoulder and slowly (it would only go slow) made our way to a garage. They said they think it's the timing belt and should have it fixed sometime this week. We had to pay $70 for a cab ride back home and needless to say, I didn't get to go to the beach. :-(

I'd shave my head if I could see 160. Even 165! Congrats on that accomplishment!
I have a question about dancing. We just got OnDemand which has an exercise thing with tons of videos (very very very in love with that). They have several videos on combined aerobics and dance. There's a belly dancing video, too, which I have been trying. Is dancing a good replacement every now and then for the boring pushups and jumping jacks?

Leo~ Congrats on the 160! Hopefully my weight will drop once I get rid of "Aunt Flo".
Sharky~ I would think that replacing the jumping jacks, etc with dancing would be fine... it's still cardio and gets your heart rate up, thus burning calories. Push-ups will strengthen your arms & stuff, but switching it up with dancing now and then will make things more interesting, too. Maybe you could do a little of each. I usually do the yoga on the Wii Fit and do the strength training (push-ups, leg lifts, squats, etc) too, and some aerobics. I like variety. :-)
Hi everyone! Been gone awhile.. been busy with the kids and going out of town.. will be leaving again tomorrow to my hubby's aunt and uncles house for a family gettogher. It will be kind of a bittersweet party this year.. Last year my father in law had a motorcycle accident on his way to this reunion and became a quadripeligic and then passed away from his injuries in December- and his mother died about a month after his accident from cancer. So I'm sure we will all be shedding a few tears together this year. Sorry for the downer.
Hope everyone is doing well. I been going up and down with eating and exercise. Some days I eat really good, and other days I have been terrible! I been trying to keep up with exercise, but when we keep leaving town it becomes very difficult. I weighed this morning at 168.. ooo.. I could probaby have been closer to 160 by now if I wouldnt keep pigging out and keep up with the exercise better!
Congrats to all on your recent successes! Hopefully after this week and weekend I can really get with it and start burning everything off. I will try the best I can this week, but I know being gone and having potluck parties is going to be near impossible for me.

TMI moment: I found out why my nipple was so sore. When my friend and I were messing around and he was nibbling... he broke the skin! I have a few small serrations on the lower part of my nipplw, that could only have been caused by teeth!
In other news, still at 160, but getting anxious/excited to get to 158 LB. I won't have an expensive "40-pound, $40" reward, because I've been shopping like crazy (I blame K9 for the idea!) and am both broke and fitting into my clothes.
Wendy ~ You made me sad... :( Sorry about the losses, and hope you have a good time. Just try to make as healthy of choices as possible. :-)
Leo~ Heeeheee! Sorry, I love to shop now, but don't think I'll be doing much of that for the time being... spent thousands last week on the dog's knee surgery and just over $700 for my car repairs this week. Yikes! I sure feel like I have a money-sucking black cloud hanging over my head, lol. Oh, and nipple=TMI, lol.
In other news.... feeling HORRIBLE today (cramps)! Did just enjoy a very yummy, heavenly whole wheat toasted english muffin with some PB2 on it... only 164 calories of bliss. Home for about another half hour and then have to go back to work for my 1:30 groom appointment. Did a really cute yorkie this morning... dyed her ears pink. So cute.
144.8 today, even though I'm all bloated... wondering what I'll be down to after. :-)
BLAH. I can tell already it's almost TTOM- I'm moody and I'm- dun dun dun- increased in weight by a pound, which always happens when it's nearing TTOM. Ah, well.
I think the change in exercise is just what I needed. My legs are sore from a jogging exercise I did yesterday, but it's a job-well-done kind of sore.

feel sad to report that i think i gained two pounds. fri, sat, and sun i ate fast food (one meal each day). i skipped the gym friday, but i did work out for an hour sat morning. sun i didn't because i was washing clothes, cleaning, and getting ready for the next day. now all last week my weight has flutuated btwn 183 - 185 so this morning after coming from a 1.5 mile jog and shower i got on the scale and it read 187. it's only tues but i am sad to see those numbers that i haven't seen for the last few weeks. i'm truly hoping that it is just water weight because i'm positive that i didn't consume over 3500 cals each day fri, sat, or sun but it's discouraging none the less...and then i guess that it doesn't help that i'm feeling depressed because of some personal issues and i've craving carbs like crazy! but i did my kick boxing mon and felt excellent after, ran this morning and plan to do 30 mins of taebo when i get home this evening. doing pretty well drinking my water, did have a diet mountain dew yesterday and today but everything else was water. i just hope that this goes away by friday. i'm supposed to go out with friends friday nite so no workout but i hope to have my weight back to at least 185 by then. more to come...
Sharky~ I feel your pain about ttotm... feeling fat and bloated, can't wait until it leaves.
Brownsug~ Cheer up hon!! Why so sad? Your gain is most likely only water weight from all the sodium in the fast food you ate... it'll go away. Just drink lots of water to flush your system out and you'll be back down again in a couple days. :-)
well i'm not even so sure it was just the sodium from the fast food anymore...i started birth control a month ago and i'm pretty positive that it was an attibuting factor. i promptly stopped taking it yesterday. and also my weight was up to 188
but i did kickboxing last nite, did my 2 miles this morning and showered. got on the scale and the number is down to 186.8 but i'm still pissed because i had got down to 183. should be at 180 right now so i have to work really hard to lose what i gained plus the additional. i know it can be done but i'm mad at myself for picking the worst time to take them dayum pills!
brownsug~ Yeah, those pills are EVIL! I can't take them anymore, they make me crazy... seriously. My mood swings on them are off the chart! I'm like Jekyl and Hyde, lol. Feel soooo much healthier not being on any of that junk. Some people swear by them though, guess it just depends on the person.
Well, I think I need a spanking!!! I've been a bad girl and went shopping... again! I bought a new dress today... it's cute and it's a size small! I'm planning on wearing it for our anniversary on August 8th... should be going out to dinner somewhere nice. It'd be even nicer if I could reach my goal weight by then and the dress would look awesome then. I did Wii fit for an hour and a half today and ate really well... got an A. :) Feelin good today. Pic of the new dress on my profile page if anyone wants to see it... looks much cuter on, IMO.
I never had problems with BC pills. I took them for yrs and yrs! Just went off them when I had my kids and after my son, permanent BC! lol
k9 - I LOVE that dress! How cute! I wanna see you in it! I bet you really look nice in it. I can't wait to get me a tiny black dress to wear! Our anniversary is Sept 28th. Maybe by then I can buy one! :D
I've been walking 5.3 miles/day and eating about 1400 cals/day. I've had a deficit of 1000 everyday. The number is going down on the scale, so it's working! :)
Going to karoake tomorrow, well tonight now. I can't wait to go and laugh at people acting a fool. They have to stand on the stage and sing and it's sooooo funny! I can never get the courage to sing though, so I just sit and laugh. But there are a few really good singers and I like to listen to them. My daughter is one, of course. :)

I wasn't sure about the dress at first, but after I tried it on, it looked really cute and made me look small, which I liked. :D I think you should go for it and get a new "little black dress" for you anniversary in September. You've been doing really well and you should show off your new figure! Wow, 5.3 miles/day is a lot of walking, great job!
Had so much fun last night! I drank and went out to eat after and I still lost weight! lol I only ate 1/2 of what I got at the restaurant and brought the other half home for my son. He was grateful! :) I only drank 3 drinks too! I did good! :D lol
I now weigh 175.6!!! This is new territory for me. I love it! The last time I lost alot of weight I got down to 170 and then landed up barely able to walk for 2 yrs (was mostly in a wheelchair) and gained it all back. So I'm almost back to where I was. Then I can keep going! :D Put on a belt this morning I haven't worn in a long time and had to put a new hole in it to wear it! I had outgrown it.....ugh!
k9 - When I buy that little black dress in September, you'll be the 1st person I tell! lol And I'll put a pic of it up so we can compare! lol
I have a question for whoever wants to answer.....I hear to lose 2 pounds a week you keep a deficit of 1000 a day. Well, that's what I'm doing and I'm losing a pound a day! How can that be? I use google pedometer to get my calories burned for the miles I walk/day. Like today, I burned 500 cals on my walk, I added that to my daily burn number which is 1810 for 2310 burned. I subtract 1000 and I eat 1310 today. Right? And sometimes when I feel llike it, I eat 1400 and I still lose a pound a day.
Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on this for me.
momof2~ I'm no expert, but it sounds to me like you're doing it right. Wow, a pound a day!? How are you pulling that one off??? Water weight? I wish I could manage that much and I'd be at my goal in no time. It seems like it's sooo far away... it's getting so hard to lose those last pounds and it's very frustrating! I'm so close, yet so far away... Congrats on your loss!! :D
