180.4 this morning for a total of 6.1lbs down in 2 weeks (2.0 even this week).  YAY!  I so want to see the 170's by the end of the month.  This is a little bit below where I normally stall out and give up, so I'm pumped to be over that hurdle.  YAY!

A friend of mine fishes bass tournaments, and I jokingly sent him a text message last week during a tournament and told him I had lost 4.1 pounds that week and challenged him to catch more than that during the tournament.  He ended up catching 4.09.  LOL!  This week,  I lost 2.0, and he caught 2.8.  I haven't figured out yet what the "winner" wins.   I hope he catches 25 pounds next weekend.  HA HA!

 

momof2~ Sorry to hear about your back and leg pain.  :(  Congrats on not gaining though.

newlook~ Great job on the exercise! 

ohtobethin~ Wow, 6 pounds down in two weeks is alot!  I'm assuming a lot of that must be water weight.  Congrats on getting over your hurdle!!  :D

Wow, I am soooo full right now!!  I just got back from Kobe and it was really really good... and I think I ate too much.  I'm glad I worked out for an hour and a half this morning.  :D

Oh, no doubt that at least 2-3 pounds was water weight.  When I started, I was probably retaining a few if 'ya know what I mean.   That accounts for the majority of the 4 pounds in the first week (but I still like to count it - makes me feel better.  LOL!).   

Hello!  Feeling a bit better today....not as many pain pills today. Thank goodness!  I hope now the worst is over and I can start walking again. I don't know why the flare ups out of the blue, but they happen. Hubby thinks I was overdoing the walking. But it makes me burn lots of calories! I guess maybe I need to stick to just 2-3 miles a day and be happy at that.

Four days off from walking and being stuck in this house in bed is no fun! I've gotten use to my walks now after being in the house for 2 yrs. I don't want to go back to that!

Tomorrow going to see about a car for my daughter. Tired of her using mine all the time and running around all over the place. AND she has it smelling like cigarettes. She thinks she can put an air freshener in it and cover up the smell. I told her not to smoke in my car and she still does. GRRRRRR  Hopefully this car is a good one and my car can go back to smelling good! LOL

ohtobethinagain~ Hey, I know what you mean about retaining a little water weight.  I'm sure I'm retaining my fair share of that right now (salty dinner last night), lol.  It does feel so good though to see the numbers go down, either way.  Every single pound I've ever lost on here has been counted, regardless of if it was just water weight or whatever.  A pound is a pound after all.  :D

momof2~ You should take it easy, girl!  Sounds like you're working yourself too hard if you have to be in bed resting for days!  You should just keep up with doing your 2-3 miles when you can (sounds like plenty to me).  It's not worth killing yourself and then ending up in bed for four days anyways... mine as well have just done the 2-3 each day and you'd be further ahead and probably feel better.  :D  As for your daughter smoking in your car - gross.  I can't stand cigarette smoke, yuck!  I don't know how old your daughter is, but smoking is not good for anyone's health.  I watched my grandpa die a horrible death due to smoking (esophagus cancer due to smoking) and vowed I would never ever smoke or let anyone I loved smoke.  Hope you can find her a car of her own to stink up and you can get the smell out of yours and back to smelling good again.  :D

Got to the gym for 6.30am - wow that is a first for a Monday morning for me.

Unfortantely, there have been some birthdays at work - and our goodies table is loaded with jam donuts, carrot cake and chocolate cake. Am trying very hard to resist ...... Booo!! Frown 

Ohtobethinagain - maybe we'll both get to 170s by Friday. currently 181.

I'm feeling the same as yesterday. Atleast it's not as bad as it was. And you are right. I'll stick to my 2-3 miles a day and be happy about it. Just itching to get out to walk again!

My daughter is 21 and picked up this nasty habit some time ago, she hid it from me until she turned 21 in June.  I HATE that she smokes. Thing is, she doesn't smoke all that much. So don't know why she won't stop.

 

Hi all! I posted on this a while back and then I kinda fell off the diet wagon, gained back what I had lost since Jan1st...so back to square one! At leats my weight is still down from when I first ever started in April last year!

Anywho as of today I am 184lbs. I was 188 last week so pretty chuffed with my first week back on it! My hubby is down 3lbs as well on his first ever week CC'ing! So he's pleased as well!

Hello everyone!!!  I haven't been on in a while, so of course I have gained!!!!!!So I am starting all over, back at 189.  I had forgotten what a great site this was.  Anyway, I am going to Marco Island in October to celebrate my birthday and I want to be at 170, or at least the low 170's.  By the way I am in Georgia, near Savannah, anyone else close by?

zulu ~ Glad to see you are back!  Way to go losing 4 lbs and your hubby doing this with you will help you alot! Kudos to him too! :)

ro50bin ~ I metyou somewhere before. Can't remember which thread. I'm happy to see your starting over!  Gotta stay motivated! That's the key! Always remember WHY you want to do this.

I walked a mile today nice and slow!  It was great to be out and see the neighbors out. I really dislike being in the house!

ro50bin~ Hi!  I was wondering what had happened to you!  Good luck on your goal of 170 by October... YOU CAN DO IT!  Oh, and I am not too far away... I am in FL.  I live in the central Florida area between Daytona Beach and Orlando.  We're getting ready for Hurricane Faye.  :P

I feel guilty... no exercise tonight.  I was busy at work all day though, so I'm sure I burned quite a few calories.  I've been running around to the stores after work to get bottled water for the storm (Faye) and then to Petco to get some more food for my dog, just in case.  The stores have been pretty crazy around here... people are stocking up on water and canned food.  I saw a lot of empty shelves when I was at the store earlier.  Hopefully the storm isn't too bad for us.... If I suddenly disappear for awhile, most likely I lost power.  It shouldn't be that bad, but you never know.

Been in the kitchen all evening baking!  I just got in the mood all of a sudden... I never cook at all usually, but felt like making something tonight.  I made some of the yummy low calorie Butter Pecan muffins with pumpkin mixed in (104 calories) and I am currently baking my Black Bean Brownies... still have to figure out the calorie content for them.  I'm bringing some to work tomorrow to see if anyone can tell the difference between those and normal brownies... heehee.  :D

momof2- Thanks for the support...I really appreciate it. I am so tired of going up and down.  (a lot more ups).  I am glad you are feeling better.  Is it okay if I add you to my friends list? 

k9stylist- I hope it doesn't get too bad where you are.  Be careful!!  They are predicting we will see some of Faye on Wednesday.  I hope it isn't too rough here, Hannah, my dog has storm phobia. My family has a condo in Marco Island, but noone is there right now.

I took a couple days off from exercise because my hip is still bothering me.. my shins a little too, but not bad. I should get my new shoes tomorrow, so I think I will skip the run tonight too, and hopefully I will be good and ready tomorrow night. Was pretty hot here today.. around 90.. so didnt feel like doing a whole lot anyway.

ro50bin, what a coincidence.. We are going on vacation in October too-- and right next door-- we are staying in Naples! one of my hubby's coworkers has a condo there and we are staying there, and my sister-in-law and her hubby are coming too. When in October are you going? We are flying to Miami on October 11 (my daughters b-day!) and then will rent a car for the week..  We were going to drive, but when we looked into airfare, it was probably cheaper because of gas prices and a hotel, because we would have to do the drive in at least 2 days (we live in Minnesota)... it will be the kids' first time flying, so I hope they dont get too scared- my hubby hates flying! I hope to drop at least another 10 lbs before we go too..

k9, yikes on the hurricane.. hope it isnt too bad!  let us know how the muffins and brownies turn out..where did you get the recipes? have you tried out the ipod yet?

momof2, glad you were able to get out today.. that must be awful having to be bedridden with pain! I'm glad to hear you are feeling a little better anyway! Hope you keep seeing improvement.

 

ro50bin~ Yeah, I hope it doesn't get bad... sounds like now they're saying it might not get to hurricane strength, but might move more slowly over us, giving us more rain and flooding chances.  Yuck.  Have you tried giving your dog a calming supplement?  A friend of mine at work (her dog is always there) is terrified of thunderstorms, which we get almost every afternoon right now.  He freaks out so she gives him some kind of herbal supplement that helps some.  It's a good thing no one is using your condo in Marco Island right now, probably wouldn't want to be there.  Hopefully the storm won't be bad.  I'm sure you can make your goal if you just stick with it.  :D  Oh, and you can add me as a friend if you want & I'll add you.

wendyb27- I am going October 16 and I am staying through the 26th.  I can't wait!!! Hope you guys have a great time.

Man! I'm so mad I missed you girls!!! Geeze!!! I was in bed.....again!  My leg is hurting now. I can barely walk up the stairs to the bedroom!  It's right in the front of my thigh and into my knee. Hurts so bad! :(  I've been taking my pill for my nerve pain in my leg and it feels like I'm not. I don't know why this is acting up like it is.

I've really been watching what I eat since I'm not doing much. Hope I don't gain. If I can just maintain until this gets under control again.

k9 ~ I hope the storm isn't bad. When I lived in Florida (in '88) we had to evacuate once. I can remember gathering up flash lights, batteries, canned foods,....  I was in the Army and stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach. It rained alot and I didn't like it much. I was there for just a year before I got out of the Army. In Pa we don't have to worry about hurricanes.

Hi Karey! Do you get alot of storms so they're just second nature to you now? I don't think England would cope, when ever something like that happens its like a total major disaster, its like we don't get prior warning which they must be able to tell us seems you guys get it!

ro50bin-I totally understand where you are coming from, the ups are beginning to become a bit more regular! I just wanna get below 181 to feel a bit more secure again and less outta control!

Ro50bin and wendy, my small goal is by oct 5! Not for a holiday but starting a new job so I want rid of my double chin by then!!!

Another 6.30am gym session for me this morning - not sure how long i'll keep it up - but will try! Managed to avoid the 'cake' table at work again - currently loaded with carrot cake (MUST RESIST!).  Thanks all for the encouragement.

Went to see Mamma Mia last night which was SO much fun, so it was Abba Gold on the ipod this morning. Got to psych myself up for the gym tomoro.

Wendy~ I guess Fay isn't going to be a hurricane now, just a tropical storm.  Right now we're just starting to get the outer bands of the storm, which means thunderstoms, lots of rain and tornadoes.  The brownies and muffins turned out good... I got the recipes here on cc.  Search for Black Bean Brownies (mine was just the mix and can of black beans) and Pecan Pumpkin Muffins and you should find them.  Brought some brownies to work and everyone really liked them.  No one could tell they were made with beans.  :D

Momof2~ Storm isn't going to be that bad, luckily.  Never have had to evacuate as of yet *crossing fingers*.    Sorry to hear your in pain again, just take it easy and rest for now.  :)

Zulu~ No, we don't get a lot of bad storms... lots of t-storms and such during the summer, just the occasional hurricane or tropical storm in the summer/fall.  Some people run around like crazy and act like it's a natural disaster, but it's not.  :P  Good job on the calories!

Well, I'm UP a couple pounds today (142)... WTF?!  I have NO IDEA how this happend.  I've been pretty good and working out a lot lately.... maybe I'm just not eating enough to compensate for that.  I really need to sit down and figure out what I burn in a typical day because whatever I'm doing just isn't cutting it anymore.  Someone told me he thinks it's muscle that i'm gaining and I shouldn't be worried at all, but I don't know...
