ohtobethin~ Good job on making your goal for the week!  Don't worry too much about yesterday... today is a new day and hopefully you're doing better (I am so far).  :D

I was MIA yesterday!  Spent the day relaxing with the fam! lol  It was a nice day/evening.

I was way up yesterday after the McD's.....3 pounds up!!!!  Oh well....  Today I lost one of those pounds. Still drinking lots and lots of water and watching what I'm eating. Especially the sodium!

Anyone watch Ice Road Truckers?  I'm weird, I know!  But I like that show!  They're a bunch of truckers driving over the frozen ocean for an oil company. I forget where they are. But they have to make all these deliveries and move the equipment before the ice thaws. But they are worse than women with the whining and carrying on they do! lol

k9 ~ I love mexican food!  I have pretty much stayed clear of it since I've begun losing weight. DQ too?!?!?!  You did it up good, didn't ya????  lol  :D  That had to suck to have to drive to another kennel to work. Is it still raining there where you are? Has the clean up started in your kennels yet?

ro50bin ~ Hope you're staying dry! That storm is really giving ya'all a hard time down there! :(

Hi all.

I've been taking it easy this weekend - didnt get to do my canoeing because the river was too high! Boo. So done a 5km walk today instead.

Am hoping to have weathered the boyf troubles - although have to learn not to let stress affect my excercise routine and send me heading for treats!!

Hope you're all having a good Monday. Am floating around 181 mark.

Momof2~ Just about everyone was MIA this weekend, lol.  Glad you had a good relaxing day though!  Congrats on losing one of those pounds... not sure what my damage is yet, but will weigh tomorrow.  I have seen the show Ice Road Truckers and it's pretty interesting!  I've also watched Deadliest Catch... seen that one?  Mmm... Mexican is one of my favorite foods too!  Yeah, I was a pig the other day... had to get it out of my system.  I was frustrated latley because I don't seem to be losing much anymore... I think I may be building muscle though.  As for the rain... it's mostly stopped.  We still have some heavy rain and afternoon t-storms, but not rain all day.  We've been cleaning up at work since Saturday... still a work in progress.  Looks a lot better... we have lots of people coming tomorrow - painters, landscape guy (trees fell over), bug guys, and a pool guy to drain the pool and clean it out.  Such a mess.  Hoping to have it all spic and span by Labor Day weekend.

Newlook~ Good job on the 5km walk!  Bummer about the canoeing.

Ro50bin~ Hope you're doing okay and aren't sitting there w/out power!!

Went for 2 one mile walks today!  Finally after 9 days of no walking. Felt good!  Saw the neighbors and talked to them....just felt good to be out!

Down another pound today! YAY!  Getting rid of those pounds one pound at a time! lol  It's amazing how one meal can just throw in 3 pounds of extra weight to get rid of and it takes forever to get rid of them! lol  :)

k9 ~ Have seen Deadliest Catch! I've only been losing a pound a week lately. So join the club!  It's just been those 3 pounds from McD's thats coming off fast. I can't imagine the mess that's there to clean up. :(  Takes a long time to clean up!  Goodl uck with the weigh in tomorrow!

Momof2~ Yay on getting out for 2 walks!  It's good you're splitting them up into two shorter ones and not overdoing it.  Also, good for you on getting rid of some of those McD's pounds!  :D

Weighed today... 138.8, which is the lowest for me so far.  It's frustrating though because the scale is moving very, very slowly lately.  I've been working out a lot, just about every single day... running, walking, strength training & yoga.  Only thing I can think of is that I must be building a lot more muscle... I do look much more toned.  Do you think that building the muscle is slowing down my weight loss, thus making the numbers on the scale hang in the same area?

k9 - Congrats on the 138.8!!!  Doing the happy dance for ya!!! Laughing From your pics, it looks like you're toning and have a good bit of muscle there. So, yeah, I think you are building up some muscle. But that's a good thing! lol  You're still losing, jut slower. And you're losing and maintaining at the same time!  Good practice for you. You're doing great and I wouldn't change a thing you're doing.

I'm going for another walk in a little while. But my back is hurting more today. So maybe just one walk will be enough. This stinks! Yell  Just want to get out there and walk and not worry about this.

The scale said the same number today. Guess that's good these days! lol

I'll check in later on!  Off for my walk! Wish me luck so I can make it back! :)

Momof2~ Hope your walk went well & you're not too sore!  I really appreciate the happy dance and the kind words... I've been feeling very frustrated and somewhat discouraged lately.  Losing the weight came so easily at first, but now the last few don't want to come off.  I feel like I'm totally doing the work, but not reaping any rewards, if that makes any sense.  I workout almost every day and eat within my calorie limits, except for maybe one day a week once in awhile.  I feel like I'm working myself so much harder, but not seeing the number go down - it should be dropping like crazy for all the effort I put in each day!  Grrrr!  Sorry, just needed to vent a little to someone.  :)

k9 - I went for 2 walks!  the first one was 3.7 miles and the second was just 1 mile. It was so nice out and once I got my leg to loosen up it wasn't so bad. Maybe you need to eat a little more. Try upping your calories 100 and see what happens in a week. With you working out so hard, you may just need a little increase. You can vent anytime! :)  It's ok. We all need to let off a little steam once in a while.

Hope the scale shows a lower number tomorrow. That would be nice.....

See ya'all tomorrow! :D

Hi guys!  just checkin in.  I have been doin pretty well with my situps and alternating hand weights/leg weights .  I am just so tired when I get home I want to sit on the couch and VEG!!!!  I try to rush everywhere I go at work so that at least I get a little cardio!  Hahahahaha!  :)  I haven't even been counting calories or logging my food, but I am down .5...(still havin to sneak on the scale!)

Momof2-  Wow!  You are really walking alot, I wish I had the energy to do that after work.  I am trying getting up earlier and earlier so I will work out in the morning.  Problem is, I have to be at work at 6:45!! Yell

K9-  The last few pounds are always the hardest.  They hang on tenaciously!  Don't worry...all of a sudden...BAM you will start to lose again.

Everyone else-Great job on the hard work!  Keep it up, we can do it!!

Hi all!

Ha d a programme review this morning with my (very hunky ;-)) gym guy. Lots  of new excercises to have a go at. nearly fell off one of the apparatus (how embarrasing) but hope to get a hang of it all soon. Hope the change of routine will kick start the weight loss.

Hoep you're all having a good week.

K9 - wow well done you're doing so well!

momof2~ Wow, you went for 2 walks!?  That's great, just don't hurt yourself again you don't want to end up stuck in the house all over again.  :)  The last week or so I actually upped my calories to about 1500... I'm afraid to go up any higher.

ladyelizabeth~ Good job witht he situps and the weights!  I totally know what you mean about being beat when you get home and then trying to exercise, lol.  And, you're down .5 that's great!  You're totally right about the last few pounds... they're hanging on for dear life, lol.

Newlook~  Thanks!  Mmm.. a hunky trainer, huh?  Lucky for you!  Hopefully the new routine will work wonders for dropping the pounds.  :)

Hi guys - I've been MIA for a while (2 weeks holidays back in Canada) and then a week on business and now I'm back home in London.  My husband and son are still in Canada for another 10 days... so i'm trying hard to stick to the diet while I'm alone.  VERY hard!

I haven't worked out in a month - can't go this week cause I'm solo at work - so will get back into it next week.  My trainer is going to kick my butt.

I have been following and reading the posts... just haven't had time to sit down and really punch one out.

I'm down 18lbs since July 1st... was nice  to come back to work and everyone was shocked at the change.  I guess its been quite noticable.  I weighed in at 166.5 this morning.  I'm happy with that because I've had a rough week schmoozing clients.

Later

Niccimax- 18lbs since july that's amazing!

Have two days away with work from tomorrow - got to watch out for the booze and rich food - eck!! Any tips?

k9 - Give the scale time to adjust to extra calories. If THAT don't work, seitch up your exercise routine. Or take off a day. Anything to change it up. You gotta find a way to shock your body! lol  I've been stuck in the range of 174-176 forr 2 weeks now. But there was 9 days I didn't do anything in there. So I'll wait another week to see what happens.

niccimax - Good to have you back!!! :)  18 lbs....WOW!!!!  How 'd ya do it???  That is so awesome!!  I'd give my right arm to get into the 160's!!!  I've been trying all month to do it.

newlook - It's tough to be away for work and still watch the calories. I wouldn't drink the booze, order water w/ lemon in it and watch your portion  sizes.  That's my advice. :)

Today been out for one walk, 2.7 miles and burned 360 calories. Going for another walk in about 15 minutes. Going out for 2 more miles!  I want those 160's so bad I can taste it!!! lol  :D

I need to start eating more earlier in the day. I've only eaten 685 calories and its almost 5pm.  I just have no appetite anymore. I force myself to eat even though I'm not hungry. I don't know what's going on with me.

I'll chck in again later on tonight.  Have a nice evening! :D

niccimax~ Congrats on the 18 lbs!!!  That is awesome.  :D

newlook~ Good luck with your two days away with work... try snacking on some healthy things before you go to lunch or dinner so that way you won't be so hungry and order something really bad with tons of calories, or eat too much.  Oh, and go for water, tea, or diet soda.  Good luck!

momof2~ I'll give my body a little more time at the calorie intake I'm at & see if it shapes up some.  I jogged/walked 4.25 miles this morning and burned over 520 calories... maybe I'll get on the treadmill again just to switch it up some more.  Good job on the walks!  You'll see those 160's before you know it!  Just make sure you're eating enough for all that walking... I'd think you should probably be having at least 1300-1400 calories/day when you walk that much.

Went out to lunch with a friend today.... for Mexican.  I got the small chicken chimichanga with a wheat wrapping, low fat sour cream and cheese & a side of black beans and rice.  Had some chips and salsa too with a diet soda.  I feel very guilty... trying to drink tons of water and going to run some more.  It could have been worse and tomorrow is a new day.  No more cheats for me for awhile, I've got to behave myself!

Did another hour on the treadmill (got to make up for the bad lunch, lol).  One hour this morning for about 520 calories burned, 4.25 miles and again tonight for another hour, just over 600 burned and another 4.25 miles.

Total treadmill workout today of 8 1/2 miles and burned approx 1120 calories!!!  I feel better about the lunch now.  :D

k9- WOW! I wish I could do 8 1/2 miles. I use to walk 9 miles a day before my leg and back got worse. I miss those days. I really do. :(  I get upset when I think about it. So no more thinking about it! lol

I walked a total of 5 miles today, and burned 670 calories today. I guess thats ok. Heck, it's pretty darn good for me!!! ;D  What am I saying! lol

That lunch sounds really good! I haven't gone out to eat in a while. I try to avoid it as much as I can! lol  I do bad enough at home.

I have a friend on here I talk to alot and she's always eating at buffets and drinking and she loses like crazy!  She's now at her goal weight and never had trouble losing the last 10 pounds and never hit a plateau either. Wish we could all be like her! lol  If you want to look her up her name is Snowfence. Her journal entries are so fun to read.

Well, I have rambled enough! "See you all tomorrow!" :D

Thanks girls!

I have been sticking as much as possible to a 1200-1400cal diet.  I have my bad days (this weekend I gorged on Indian takeaway and probably consumed 5000calories!) but get right back on the plan the next day.  I am eating 5 small meals (small compared to what I used to eat) a day... drinking lots of water and generally eating healthy.  Its a change from what I'm used to - so I'm not sure if maybe thats why its falling off.

Its even stranger cause i'm not working out at all!  My job doesn't allow me time to go to the gym and when I'm done I just want to get home and spend some time with my family (I have a 3 year old son).   I did hit a bit of a plateu where I stayed the same weight for a whole week - but I ate like crazy the next week and the pounds started coming off again.  Bizarre!

I have no advice to give on the client schmoozing thing.  I just went out again last night and drank too much red wine.  I'm a sucker for good company and a good red wine.  Bit of a foggy head today - but just tucking into my Special K with fresh blueberries.... hope it passes.  For the main course - just order the protein and veggies... take the carbs away and you will find you aren't as stuffed and feel better for it the next day.

You girls are all so good at going out for walks and doing your exercises.  I am really going to try to get back into it next week.

momof2~ Wow, a 5 mile walk is really good!  I've seen some of your friend Snowfence's posts around the forums, she's pretty funny sometimes!  :D

niccimax~ I wish I could eat like crazy and the pounds would just come off, lol.  They came off so easily in the beginning that I didn't need to exercise even.  But, now is a completely different story... I work my butt off and it still sticks to me.

Really hungry today, lol!
