KGAMBLE ~ Yeah, Jillian Michael is from BL. That dvd is called "30 day shred" and it's a killer! I wore my HRM while I did it last night and I burned 532 calories in an hour! It didn't even seem like an hour bc you're moving the whole time. I really like it.
It says you're suppose to lose 20 pounds in 30 days working out to that dvd. Of course you have to eat right too! LOL All you need are hand weights. there's times I lay them down bc my arms get tired! LOL

momof2, Thanks for the info. That sounds awesome. 500 calories...crazy! I'm definitely going to look into it. I did the second day of this strength/cardio circuit for FITNESS and it was hard, better than Tuesday. I'm suppose to do it 3x/week so hopefully I will be even better on Saturday. If I don't lose a pound I should have buns of steel at the end of the 4 weeks with all the lunges/kicks/jumping rope/etc.... ![]()

I did my friday weigh-in this morning and the scale read: 169.0
I know that is a lot in one week, but I've been working extra hard and seriously counting calories. Looks like it is paying-off. I'm sure things will slow down this week, but I'm still excited.

I neeeeeeeeeeeed to get back on track - I'm the worst for emotional eating and these last few weeks with the markets going crazy is really throwing me off. GAHHHHHH.
I'm back at 172.2 today. I keep going from 170 to 173. I hope I can get below 170 someday soon! lol It sure would be nice.
Walked twice today. Burned 700 calories! Yep, patting myself on the back! hehehe
Went to our pumpkin festival today. Soooo many good foods to eat. I didn't indulge though! It all smelled so good too! I did buy some pumpkin cookies and ate a few. They were really small so no big deal there.
Ok 162.5 today - guess a lot was water/sodium crap from the garbage I ate over the weekend.
I'm going to get back on track this week! Special K for breakfast.... here we go!

This morning weighed in at 172.4.... Guess I lost that pound that was hanging on. I want to see 171 by the end of the week. :)
Been having alot of pain in my leg lately. Probably change of weather making it hurt. I have arthritis in my back around the S1 nerve root (it goes down the leg). Really hurts and walking just iritates it like nothing else...

I had friends over for brunch and was really proud that I was able to serve them a yummy healthy meal. I got all of the recipes from Ellie Krieger "Health Living" Cookbook. hi everyone! I've been exercising my butt off today. During commercials I do push ups and squats and punches....I've been doing it all day! I'm feeling it!
Did my Jillian Michael dvd too! An hour of hard work there. :)

Hey, everyone. I feel oddly unmotivated right now; I feel like I'll never be able to lose weight. It was extremely discouraging to be at 166 and then, after upping calories to LOSE, I went up almost 10 pounds. How is that even possible? In theory, an increase of 300 calories with exercise, while also being a teenager, that should have kick started my weight loss. I don't get it. My doctor is suggesting it could be my thyroid. In any event, I had blood drawn for that yesterday; I'll find out soon enough.
Not to be a downer or anything, lol.

I just read over my post and it seems really pathetic. It looks pretty backward that I should stop my journey to lose weight because of some gain. I'll go back to what was working initially. It now all makes sense.

I was just reading all the recent posts and all of you are so motivating, I couldn't resist joining you in your quest!!!
I am currently 183 - down from 188. 5'4'' and 39 YO... I don't feel 39, but from all the years of yo-yo-ing, every time I try to loose weight It seems to get harder...I guess age creeps in for each of us in different ways....
About 4 years ago I was down to 140 ish, but tend to feel that when I get around or below that weight I am too ?conspicuous? and seem to sabotage my self...I guess I'll deal with that issue when I get there....
Now I just need to stay motivated... Been back to CC for about a month and I am really focusing on working out as much as work and family will allow... I have fallen in love with weights and the Les Mills Body Pump class. I try to do about 2-3 times a week and then cardio at least 2 days....
Last week was a workout wash as work and family were pretty demanding and I didn't log on to enter my meals.... but I am not considering it a total failure as I am back into it today....I actually made a 6:50 AM class at the Y and then 40 min of cardio while my youngest son was as swim lessons....
Enough about me... for now anyway... Stay Healthy!
PS. Sharky... Glad you had an attitude adjustment... some of us would have wallowed a lot longer and it would have gone right to our hips!!!!
Welcome to the group Sharlong! Alot of us started here in the 80's and just stayed. You and I have very similar stats! I am also 39, 5'3.5" and am currently 178.5. I would love to be 140 but we will have to wait a bit to see that one. Where are you from?
I am doing pretty good this week. Down .5. Still on my crazy "eating plan" but I cheat on the weekends usually. Drinking lots and lots of water!! My 6 weeks is up on Halloween, and I have to ask my "trainer" what's next after that. I haven't been doing a whole lot to work out. Situps and then usually some arm work with hand weights or leg work with ankle weights. I am just having a hard time finding time right now with Halloween coming up. We have a huge party every year and there is alot that goes into it so it's taking up all of my time. Hope everyone else had a good week!

Scale this morning said 181... I had been flirting with 182 for a few days last week, and I probably wont see 181 for another 2 or 3 days the way it has been going, but it was VERY EXCITING!!!
Called into work today, but I already have my sweats on... going to work out right after!!!
BTW, my kids have been driving me crazy about Halloween and I haven't even put the decorations up yet... I guess I will have to give in tonite!

No....it's cool, I understand your hesitancy. I'm from Delawhere?... We are Halloween crazy, and start in like August. Great job on your loss! It is so frustrating to be stuck at a weight and not be able to lose it! Great luck this week!

Am starting this week with a better attitude - after a rather indulgent wkend its def time to get back on track. Am put a ban on visiting the 'naughty' table at work - my collegues have been told to confiscate anything I try to consume from it. So goodbye muffins and chocolates this week.
