newlook ~ It's cold here too, if that's any consolation. I could go for some of that soup myself, but nothing here to make soup with! lol

So far today I'm doing well with my eating.  My back is still giving me troubles so there won't be any exercising. :(  Really hate when this happens.  I've been having these wierd feelings in my calves from my nerves.  It's irritating!  Almost feels like the beginning of a cramp, but worse. Weird.

Am off down to london with work tonight - which is great but always the rich food and vino to try to avoid! Will try to be good! When i end up staying away from home i'm never as disciplined. Opps!

Hi all!  Doing great here!  I restarted my program Monday and lost 2.5 lbs!  I had gained 1.5 over Halloween but I'm back on a down turn.  I am 177!  I am so excited, I haven't been that in a long long time. 

Newlook-Good job stickin to it, I know that must have been hard for you.  How often are you weighing in?

How is everyone else doing?

I'm sitting here in bed unable to do much of anything. My back is bad. I keep getting muscle spasms through my lower back and they're very painful. So I'm on pain meds and muscle relaxers.  :(  So I'm sleeping alot. And eating whatever hubby brings me.  Which has been foods I normally wouldn't eat.

Worried about the number on the scale when I can get there. Right now I can barely walk or bend over to reach the scale. So can't worry about that for now. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Tammy - you poor thing sounds like you're really having a time of it at the moment. Dont beat yourself up about getting on the scales - you've got to get better before you even think about doing any excersice! Take it easy and hope you're feeling better soon.

I was away for the weekend to the coast catchiing up with friends and family and went to a cincert - so was drinking beer (not my usual) so I'll give it a couple fo days before I get on the scale.

Lady Eliz - well done you - I really want to get to 170s this side of xmas!

 

 

Momof2-Don't worry about it, you sprinted ahead of all of us..just let your body heal and rest.  Try to eat as healthy as you can to try to maintain.

newlook-Thank you!  I am very proud of myself, I haven't seen this weight in a long long time.  I feel really inspired, and I know you can do it too!!

Hey all, how you doing?

these dark mornings are making it so hard to get up for the gym! just couldnt make it today. So am being extra good with my food - having a prawn salad for lunch and something light for dinner too after i get back from college this evening. makes it such a long day after a full day in the office! oh well!

Good morning!

I slept through the night for once!  Been a while since I've done that.  It was easier to go down the stairs too.  So maybe it's trying to get better.  I think it's going to be a while though before I'm back to exercising. GRRRRR  I was so close to goal too. It will just have to wait, that's all. 

Hubby said he's wanting spaghetti for dinner.  I won't be eating that! I can never have a small plate of spaghetti. 

This is driving me nuts not being able to exercise!  But I have to wait and let this completely get better. I'm just not patient.

Finally got back to the gym today, and did 8 mins runnign in total hurrah!

Am starving now though. Off to cinema tonight (james bond) - must resist the fizzy drinks and icecream!

Momof - sounds like you're getting there. you did so well before, so I bet you'll be fine once you're back to it. :-) dont let it get you down.

I'm feeling alittle better than yesterday. Maybe it's getting back to normal. Well, my "normal". 

I'm getting more and more frustrated with not being able to exercise.  I never thought I'd miss exercising. But I am.

I've gained a few pounds so I'm stressing over that. I've got to get better so I don't gain any more weight.

I want to exercise, but I know if I do it too soon I'll just set myself back even further and cause myself more pain.

*sigh*

Momof2- isn't there something that you can do to just get up and move a little that won't be strenuous?  At least you won't be feeling like you are doing nothing at all!

I am soooo excited to tell you guyz I weighed in today and I am 175!!  I did a happy dance on the scale!

Newlook-How did you do?  Resist the evils of junk food at the movies???  Great job going to the gym.  I am having difficulty fitting exercise consistantly into my life.  I am averaging once a week at this point.  Better than nothing I guess.

It seems like everyone else has disappeared except for us 3.  Where did everyone go????

I'm not allowed to do anything.  I have to let my back calm down.  It's so inflamed that it's warm to the touch.  And my legs are hot too.  So I have to be patient and not do anything that will prolong this. 

The meds are really "spacing" me out though!  Make me really talkative! LOL

You've caught up to me, I weighed 174.0 this morning.  Better than 177 I saw a few days ago.  It's just tough sticking to 1200 calories a day.  I'm use to exercising so I can eat more. lol

And once a week is better than nothing.  Try for one more day next week.  I'm sure you can do it!  TRY!!!!  :)

Momof - hope you're feeling better. You're doing so well sticking at 1200 cals - i would really struggle with that.

Havent got on the scales yet - really want to get down to the 170s but know i'm not there yet. Have done three good sessions at the gym this week, so habving a rest day today, hopefully get back to it tomorrow.

I have noticed some pains in my shins since i've started running on the treadmill, which i don't normally get on things like the cross trainer. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi!  I'm ok today.  Still taking it easy.  I'm still sticking to my 1200 cals a day.  It IS real tough to do!    It may be some time before I'm back to exercising. :( 

I have heard on here how some ppl complain about running on a treadmill. I have never run on a treadmill and for the past 9 yrs, I haven't run at all. Maybe if you go to the fitness forum you can find an answer.

I was workin yesterday and gettin ready to go to work again today...blecch!  I am doin pretty good with eating during the day, but cheating when I get home.  I have been cheating on the weekends and it has been working out ok so far!  Keep your fingers crossed for me! nice to hear from you Lady E!  I always struggle at night with my eating.  I've always snacked at night. Even growing up, my mom would always have snacks in the house for evening when watching tv.  I do great during the day, then about 8 I want something like chips.  Something that takes a while to eat.  Someone told me to get sun chips.  I may have to give 'em a try.  But I'm terrible at portion control with things like that.

On the 21stI weighed 174, today I weigh 172.4!!!!!  YAY!!!!  I've lost 5 lbs in less than a week.  I think alot of it was water weight.  But I drink tons of water. Well, it's gone and that's all that matters.  I have 2 more lbs to go then I'll be satisfied to stay there until my back gets better.  The 1200 cals/day is working for me.  It's tough, but worth seeing the results.

Waking up is the hardest part of my day.  I wake up only to feel pain.  That's bc it's been more than 8 hours since taking my last pain pill and laying all night.  I really want to exercise again.  I miss it!  Who da thunk?!?! lol  When I'm able to again it's gonna be like starting over. 

I've rambled on enough now.  I'll check in later tonight.

 

Well...off today and back on track.  It's so hard when the hubby is not on the diet and makes all kinds of good stuff for him and my son.  He shows love through food so it is a fine line to refuse what he makes without offending.  Sometimes I think he is subconsciously trying to sabotage my efforts.  Not like he doesn't want me to be happy and healthy, but.....I don't know.

Congratulations for your loss!!  I am going to drink so much water today I will float!

I think I need a new scale so I can weigh in smaller incriments.  I can't really afford one right now though.  :::sigh:::   Anyhoo...I will check in later!

You are doing so well!

Finally plucked up the courage to get on the scales after about 2wks, and despite my efforts nothing has changed. In fact, looks like i've put on a couple of pounds, could even be as high as 188 - my highest this year :-( have been trying hard at the gym, and hardly drinking compared to usual and eatign reasonably well. ITS NOT FAIR - sorry.... big sulk...

If you have been working out so much, alot of your weight is probably muscle! Don't worry about it and keep plugging away at it!  Don't let it discourage you.  I just got done working out on my total gym!  I am proud of myself for getting to it!!  Good luck to everyone else this week!
