Hello ladies!
I hear alot of talk about the total gym. Seems alot of people have it.
I was going to do alittle working out today, but my back must've known bc it's really giving me a hard time today. Yesterday it had let up some.
We had a shooting out in front of our house today. 1st time for that! I guess the girl next door has a drug dealer as a bf and 3 young kids came to teach him a lesson and shot the gun to scare him then beat him with it. Young kids! Don't they realize that a bullet can go anywhere! They think a gun makes them tough! Then it took the cops 15 minutes to get here!!! And they're just 5 minutes away. :( I was so mad! If they would've hurried, they would've had them bc they hung out in front for about 10 minutes!

Still staying away from the scale...
My eating's been erratic, going between perfect and maintence. Today was a great day- picked up my 5 pound weights and did some reps, finding out that most of my muscle is still there, which thrilled me. My calves are as muscley as they were after band camp, haha.
Overall, today's been motivating. I ate a good breakfast- usually I overdo it, but today was just right. Lunch, a salad with croutons and some turkey, and non-fat milk. I had two mini-suppers- onions and potato, then eggs and toast. I then had Cool-Whip (I strongly reccomend frozen Cool-Whip for a sweet snack). And I got my grades in the mail... and discovered, to my delight, I've got nothing under a B- so far. Usually, I'm lacking in the math department- but I had a B-! Must be all this calorie-counting keeping me sharp ![]()

Sharky-Good job on the grades and staying on top of things with the calories. Good to hear from you and that you are doing ok...it's been kinda quiet here.
Momof2-That is some scary stuff! Did anyone get hurt?
The Total Gym works great if you use it! That is the key! My arms are pretty sore today, but in a good way. Hope your back is feeling better.

Those jerks came back last night, and while the people they are trying to scare left for the night, they scared the rest of us! They drove past and fired about 5 times. I believe they probably shot up in the air. The police couldn't find any shell casings and nothing was hit. I just want them to get caught or just stop this nonsense.
Today weighed in at 173.0 today. Tomorrow is the day that I write it down. So maybe it'll drop back down a pound or two! LOL
My back is still the same. It doesn't seem to be getting better with rest. :(

I've been around, just lurking. I usually post in the maintenance forums. Maintenance is going well so far.
I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 174 lbs. BUT TTOM is here, so I might have actually lost weight over Thanksgiving! I'll check in a few days and see what the number is then. Watch, it'll be the same with my luck! lol
Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well. I ate a little bit of everything and it was good! :) Still some leftovers in the fridge, but disappearing fast.

I'm still here... ish... don't log on much. I really need to get back to logging. I'm sort of guessing calories. 2 weeks ago I got TTOM and went off the handles eating - but got back in control and weighed in at 157 today :)
I'm heading to Boston Wednesday - so excited to be back on North American soil for some shopping hehe. Anne Taylor Loft has been having the most AMAZING sales but you have to have a US address and credit card to order any of it. I just hope some of the good stuff is there when I go shopping.
My parents are coming to the UK for xmas - and hubby and I are going to get away for 5 days alone and leave my son with my mom (suits everyone) -so we just booked a mini 5 day trip to Egypt.... resort on the red sea. Can't wait for that. And I would LOVE to be 150lbs by the time that rolls around. I think its a bit unrealistic tho.

Nicci~ Don't be discouraged... I think a goal of 150 by x-mas is pretty attainable for you. You're only 7 pounds away and you can get really close to that 150. When I was losing, I lost an average of about 2 lbs/week. So, if you're strict and stick to your calories and exercise I really think you can do it. It depends how badly you want it. Good luck! You can do it! ;)

Hope you're doing ok. Not been to the gym much the last week or so - work has been really busy. Managed a swim on sunday and hopefully back to the gym tomorrow. Not very please - and back up to 186 :-( not wanted I wanted for the xmas period. Am going to try extra hard this week.

A trip to Egypt! WOW!!! We'd like to go there. That's one of our "dream" vacation spots. We can dream about it! :)

Hi everyone!
I been gone awhile.. went for vacation early October, and just never came back here. I stopped counting calories, but still kind of watched my portions.. but did indulge in a few too many treats.. I havent been exercising much either, but now ready to get back to it. Surprisingly, I havent really gained a whole lot back.. I am at about 161 now.. was kind of hovering around that 160 mark before I left. I started back at the YMCA on Monday, and have gone yesterday and today too. I am going to try to go just about everday. I am starting the C25k, Again..I hope I can stick with it this time! I am quite sore right now from jumping back in with the exercise..oi, hope the pain leaves soon.

Hi Wendy! Glad to see you're back on the wagon again! You did well though. Good job! It's hard to get back into things when you leave for a while. Maybe it'll help you though. You know, get you jump started again.

I'm putting up my xmas tree soon. When do you all put your trees up? Do yuo get real trees or artificial? I do the artificial thing. I had a real one a couple yrs ago but I'm just not into the whole watering thing and cleaning up the needles out of the carpet for the next year! lol

Hi guys! Hope everyone is doing well and staying on track. We went out today and got a new tree. The other artificial one was too much of a hassle. This one is smaller and pre-lit! We decided to make most of our orniments this year just to mix things up a bit.
I weighed in at 173.5 yesterday! I am so excited! I ordered a new dress for my holiday party. My measurements fell kind of between two sizes so I ordered the smaller one. I either need to fit in it or not go to the party! I have a little while still...it's not till Jan. 10th.

Hey all! sorry i haven't been about - work is so busy with redundancies - and my college work is due in in January - I am drowing under text books and essays - all of which is meaning no time for the gym and eating whenever is easiest.
Have started well though - with a stirfry for dinner tonight and going to try for gym tomorrow! Hope you're all doing well.

Just over 1,000. This is with pound cake for dessert. I have no idea what happened, but apparently I am not as good at estimating as I thought... lol...

I'm doing pretty well overall. Just got my holiday dress in the mail for my company party. It is a little snug so I need to make sure I am good between now and Jan 10 so it fits! Yesterday I did situps, pushups and some leg exercises with ankle weights. It doesn't sound like much but it is more than I do most days and I can fit it into my day. Better than nothing I say!! My last weight was 173.5, I'm really happy about that! I'm trying like hell to stay off of the scale until weigh in on Friday. It is really difficult for me though. I have a weird obsession with it and sometimes weigh myself several times a day. The only solution to it is when my husband hides it, but then he doesn't want to give it back on weigh in day! It's a struggle. Hope everyone is having a good week!
