Welcome to the new people! 189 is close enough! lol I lost my first 20 punds pretty quick, so I saw results fast. Now I've slowed down, but I've lost inches so when I put on clothes I haven't worn in a while they're too big! Like today, Iput on a pair of old sweats to go walk and they were EXTREMELY large! When I walked, they fell down!!! It was sooooo funny! Hubby cracked up!
For snacks, try fruit. I like to crunch when snacking so I eat apples alot! Also the 100 calorie popcorn is a good snack.
Hello! How is everyone doing? I'm alright. Feeling alittle sluggish today. Almost like I could sleep all day. :)
It's warm outside and I should go out and take a little walk, but really don't feel like it! lol I just don't want to do anything today!
II'll bbl and see if anyone was here! Have a nice day! ;)
Hello! Hope everyone's okay. It's so awful outside here in Chicago. This weather has made it difficult to feel motivated to exercise. Snow for 6months now wind, cold and rain. The commute is tiresome on a beautiful day. Today, I just don't know if I can bear it. Anyway, I begun to cut back on the fast foods. Actually, I am banning fast foods completely at least for the remainder of the month.
cla30 - fast foods will get ya!!!! lol I could never live in chicago with the weather up there. We're having a rain shower now as I type! Supposed to rain now for several days :( and the temperature is suppose to fall after today into the 40's. Today it's 70! Crazy weather!
BBL!
Momoof2funykds, I know what you mean. The weather is decent today 60s so I'm going to head to the gym, but tomorrow light snow and rain :(
CLA30 - we got a few sprinkles today that's it. But they're calling for rain tomorrow and snow flurries on Monday! This is crazy!!!
I got my 1 mile walk in earlier. Think I'll go do another mile now. I did 2 straight yesterday. That's a real accomplishment for me. I have a major back problem (lots of pain in my back and left leg). Usually when I try to walk I get 1/2 way down the alley and have to turn back around. I just keep trying. No giving up here. Do you lift any weights? I have an 8 lb weight I use for my arms and it has helped alot with toning them up. I also do push ups against the wall. What do you do?
Hi everyone. I have just graduated from the 200's the last couple of days. I am 198. My long term goal is 123 because I am only 5'2 inches.
I am trying to take this one day at a time but patience isn't a strong virtue of mine so I tend to get a little hard on myself.
Congrats for making it out of the 200's!!! I know when I did, I walked around smiling for days!!! ;D
Patience isn't my strong point either. I'm so close to being out of the 190's that I can taste it and I really want it!!! Then I know I'll be impatient to get out of the 180's! Isn't that the way it goes? lol
BBL
I was walking around with a smile on my face until I worked these two night shifts and now I am so tired that all I want is my bed. I just wish things would get straightened out at work and I could get back to a regular schedule.
I know I can't wait to get out of the 190's either. I guess we always want more. We seem to be never satisfied. Oh well it will come when it is ready.
imhoff - you are in my one group and you've lost alot of weight!!! It's the Lose 20-30 pounds by June (I think that's what it's called!). I thought when I saw your name it was familiar to me. With the rate you're losing, you'll be out of the 190's in no time! :D Not me though! I've been losing so slow!!! lol
Well, I weigh in today so I'll see if I've lost anything. Last week, 192, so I hope I've lost something. :D I'll post my weight later on after I weigh in.
BBL
I did my weigh in on last Thursday, and I have already lost 5 pounds in just a little over 2 weeks! That's a very encouraging start! I realize that the more weight I lose, the harder it will be to lose more, but it's nice to have some immediate results while still staying within the limits of what's healthy.
The weather was gorgeous here last week. It got up to the high eighties, so I began walking on my lunch break again. I walk up-hill for 20 minutes and then back down. Much more satisfying than doing the eliptical machine or the treadmill.
Last week I went to the gym 3 times. My goal was to go 4 times, but by Friday, I was totally burned out, so I didn't really do much most of the weekend. I always feel good once I've gone to the gym, but after working all day, commuting an hour each way, feeding the kids, etc. I don't always feel motivated to get up and get going.
Girl6 - Way to go!!! It's warmed up here too, just not in the 80's yet! It's made it to 75 today! I don't know how you commute so far with the price of gas! WOW!
This is thursday, and I weighed in on Monday......no loss, but no gain either! My weight loss has really slowed down alot!!! I've started walking although I can't walk up hills or very fast (walk with a cane), I'm still walking!!! Yesterday was a great accomplishment for me. I walked 3 miles on my 1st walk and 1 mile on my 2nd walk later in the evening. It's taken me quite sometime to get to that. Today I'm going to try for the 3 again and 2 on my 2nd walk. We'll see.
I'll let ya'all know how I do!! ;D
Momof2funykds:
Thanks for the encouragement. As for my commute...I live in Northern California. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, many people can't afford to live where they work. So, although I spend more in gas, I save in house payments.
I do my next weigh in tonight, so I'll see where I'm at now.
I'm wondering how all of you do it when going out to eat? We don't eat out much, but I want to do a special Mother's Day Brunch for my mom next month. Most restaurants don't divulge the calories in their food, so I'm a bit lost as to how to track my calorie intake unless I'm preparing the food myself.
I go to the restaurants web site to look up their menu and calories before I go and know what to order b4 I get there.
Good luck with your WI!!!! I'm sure you'll do just fine! :D
I watch shows like "What you get for your money" and "My house is worth what?", so I know how much houses cost out there. Especially in the San Fran area! Houses in general cost more in California. Here, in Pa, houses are alot cheaper compared to there.
girl6-The resturants they have here don't have reveal how many calories are in foods either. I just try and pick what I think should be healthier and guess as good as I can.
I better get going and go and pick up my daughters birthday present. She is the big 13 today and I haven't even had time to do that. I have to clean house today. My mom is coming and I have nothing done.
Have a great weekend everyone.
imhoff - you've probably lost more weight! You've been doing so good!!!
I weighed in today and I've lost a pound even though I was eating at night for some odd reason. I couldn't control myself. I was heading to them chips and cookies every night for like 2 weeks!!! Terrible!!! :D I think I have it back under control now.
later!
posted twice for some reason!
I did end up losing 1.2 pounds this week but that is only after I went to the farm two days and picked up rocks, cleaned up garbage and helped fix fence. I guess we will be going there twice next week to do more. It sure is hard on the body though, I could hardly bend over today.
Good for you on the pound.
