I think we need a club too! Glad I graduated from the 200's, but need motivation to keep going. Now 195, only 5'2 so have a ways to go. Trying for 2 pounds a week, so maybe can join 180's club by August!
Oohh 190's club! hurray! at 199 myself... I was losing bit of hope on this site.. was seeing all 150's and lower... and started feeling low and hopeless... but now back to determined!
I finally made a club....yeah!!!!! Hellooooo all
I'm bumping this back up... As of this AM I'm 195.5. My heaviest was 215, back in November. Around March I started exercising more and somewhat watching what I eat. I told myself once I hit 199, I'd get super serious about weight loss and living a healthier lifestyle. Oddly enough, a few days after I hit 199, I found this site. Lucky me!
I've been keeping my calories between 1600 and 1700 since I joined the site... I've also been going on a brisk walk on my lunch breaks, and walking the dog for 45 minutes every night (She needs to lose weight too).My 25th birthday is coming up on the 21st, and there will be plenty of celebrating. I'm planning on staying within my 2300 expenditure for my birthday weekend. I'm also starting the Couch-to-5k running plan this Sunday. I'm actually looking forward to it!

Weighed in at 190.4 this morning. So that's 1.4 down from last week (I had stayed the same the week before). I've been doing a lot of biking, so I think maybe I'm building a bit of muscle. I'm also eating more since I'm burning more. Trying to take things slowly. No matter how much I want to hurry things up!!
I've been thinking about the Couch-to-5K thing too. But so far thinking is as far as I've gotten!! LOL This week is my anniversary, and next weekend is my birthday. Whoa Nelly, hopefully I'll make it through without gaining. I'm not even going to worry about loosing. Just don't want to gain!
Good day all!

Still at 195.5 this AM, although I haven't done much in terms of exercise the past 3 days since we've been so busy and I've been slighty under the weather. We're heading out to the Ohio Rennaissance Fair in a little bit, so that will be a few hours worth of walking/strolling around. Just gotta do my best to stay away from the Mead.. mmmm.. Ok, maybe I'll allow myself ONE glass. I also plan on doing some jogging tonight after we get back. Hope everyone else is having a great holiday weekend!

Okay I was not good to myself this long weekend, and the scale reflected that. I'm up at 195.2 lbs this morning. I'm sure a lot of it is water weight. But I need to stop doing this to myself on weekends.
No worries super, you're probably right in that it's water weight. I've noticed myself that I lose weight quicker weekdays (when I'm extremely vigilant about my habits) than weekends, when I'm slightly more lenient. I've noticed when I'm more lenient my sodium intake goes up, which explains the weekend fluctuations. Still managing to keep my cals below 2300 daily though, so I'm happy. Started the couch-to-5k on Sunday, and I actually did much better than I thought I would. I thought I would collapse 5 minutes into it, but I actually kept up with my time without stopping! w00t! I'm down to 194.5 this AM!
I'm in! I started July 30th at 202 lbs. and just weighed in this morning at 195.5 for the first time in maybe 6 years. For some reason I consider 195 to be a kind of soft target, though I'm not sure why. My real target is 180 by the end of the November, and then 160 by early next year and it looks like I'll get there.
It's been challenging for me not only because I am sedentary for the entire day, but also I'm really into cooking and baking and come from a family that really likes to pig out at every meal. I'm talking about having cookies or ice cream after lunch AND dinner almost every day.
So I'm charged-up to be losing a consistent 1-2 pounds every week with nothing more than controlled calorie intake. When I get into my 180's I plan to make time for cycling or basic weight training. Maybe I'll pick up a cycle stand for indoor winter pedaling . Also, it's getting to be wood chopping season, so I just might take advantage of that.
Glad to be here.

I'm giving myself a pat on the back today. I made it back to the gym for the first time since July when my mum got sick. I know the weight gain is the sodium from the weekend. I'm hoping the scale will drop a pound or two over night. I've been drinking tonnes of water today.
I have soft goals and hard goals as well. I find using the soft goals keeps me on track. My hard goals tend to be odd ones... like 189.2lbs (the lowest weight I got to before I fell off the wagon in July), or 172 lbs (the lowest weight I got to on my first diet three years ago - then gained back) or 168 lbs, when my BMI will officially be in the healthy range.

Good morning everyone!
I'm happy today becuase at least some of the weight gained over the weekend was water weight. My scale said 193.2 lbs this morning, and I just got TTOM, so I think I can definately chalk some of it up to water weight.

Okay, so I'm talking to myself here. But I'm sure sooner or later there must be come people breaching that 200 lbs mark and will come here and keep me company.
<sniff><sniff>
Or maybe this is just incentive to go joing that crazy 180 lbs club...
For today I'm still stuck here talking to myself. The bad news is that my weight stayed at the 193.2 lb mark today, but the good news is that my body fat reading went down. Going to the gym the last two days paid off :)

I'm still in the club :) My weight hasn't changed much (down 2/10ths of a lb) since I last posted, but I started taking measurements this week. I also tried on a pair of khakis that I couldn't even button without pinching myself a few weeks ago, and they were much less tight last night. Still don't fit into them perfectly, but it was a really cool feeling to try them on and not having that "muffin top" thing going on...
Hi I'm new to Calorie-count! I weight 195 right now and My goal is about 150!! I need friends to keep me motivated hoping to find some here with y'all!!
Welcome to the club! This is the most helpful site I've come across. Glad you stopped by! :O)
I'm hopeful this morning I'm still all bloaty from TTOM, but I'm at 190.2 lbs today. Now I just need to not let that skyrocket over the weekend.
Welcome to 190's club, Marika!
Just wondering what kind of workouts you guys all do. I jog a bit, and walk alot. When I was alot smaller (years ago) I loved pilates, but theyre really hard to do right now at 197 and when I get down to about 170 Im going to try and start them again.
So.... what do you guys do, cause Im so bored of jogging, and I dont have time to go for longer than 40 min walking a day.

Alright!!! The 190's club. I am 196 and want to get down to 145 so I have some work to do but looking forward to my new body!!!
Well the weekend wasnt kind, but it could have been a lot worse. I'm back up to 192.4 lbs, but I'm sure most of that is water weight. Blah day today.
Hey all! I bought a new scale and weighed myself on the old and new one right after the other and the new one says I weight 2 pounds more. So added 2 pounds to my start goal!
I was at 193.2 this morning!!! :) I'm so excited!!!
I don't have much time to exercise with my little one. He's 3 months old and my husband is away right now. If he was here he would definitely let me do my workouts.
But I have been walking and taking the stairs at work when I can. I have yoga booty ballet which I love, but just have to find the time.
When I was little I did tae boe and rollerbladed. Those were my faves. When My hubby gets back I'm going to do these things more often as he can give attention to the little one when needed.
I've lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks!!! Is that too much? Or do you all think that's ok?

The 8 pounds in three weeks is a little much.... usually a safe rate is between 0.5-2lbs per week. But, if it was your first few weeks people often get accelerated weight loss in the first few weeks because you drop your water weight.
I forgot I had to work at my vet clinic yesterday evening and ended up eating almost nothing during the day and then had a too big dinner. So I've gone up from 192.4 to 192.6 I suppose I'm not really allowed to complain about that considering.
